August 11, 20224 yr @rmc523 Do you remember when they were going to release 3 movies, for theaters, with Rick?

I was still semi-excited about it then......nothing. although I guess that plan may still be around. Difference is that nobody freaking cares now. COVID causes some of the delay but there were also script issues and some other things they kept running into. But yeah literally nobody cares now.

But there seems to be 4 more direct TWD spinoffs on the way, as listed above, with another mini youtube series (from the article I read earlier) as an offshoot of Fear. Well, with Better Call Saul ending, I guess they needed more lol. You said 3 and then you listed like 7, lol, it's that bad huh?

And the original was once upon a time a ratings juggernaut but that ended once Glenn and Abraham were killed off so violently. AMC got too full of itself. I thought the show was ok for the following season but completely fell off a cliff after that when Angela Kang took over as the head honcho for the series and tried to be fully inclusive of people with a variety of disabilities etc. Sorry, nobody is buying that a deaf person has survived out in the wild in a world filled with zombies for years upon years. That and Hardwicks show that aired after each episode spent large portions suddenly talking about who was or needed to be "shipped". It had devolved into some weird poorly written soap opera with a conscience I guess.

I'd agree it's too much.

It's to the point where it's "meh" to me, but I'm going to see it through to the end. The offshoots are coming though, and it's ridiculous lol. -"Fear TWD" is still around for a while I think - it started off interesting as a sort of "other location" TWD, but has gotten stupid with some things they've done with it. I'm not one to just quit a series unless it's TERRIBLE, and this hasn't crossed that threshold yet for me. -"TWD World Beyond" was a miniseries that ended. -"Tales of TWD" starts this weekend. -"Isle of the Dead" is a Maggie/Negan spinoff -Daryl Spinoff - Daryl ends up in Europe.....somehow?? -Rick and Michonne spinoff, which I think will pick up where Rick left TWD. /end TWD rant lol I couldnt get over the fact, and i know its dumb, but.. just get a fucking boat. End of show
