I'm pretty sure there's more than just players there. Looks like some staff and so on. I'm pretty sure I see a girl there too.

I thought he wasn’t a rookie. Maybe he didn’t pitch enough games last year.

And Jake Burger? Is this for rookies or first year Marlins players? Or maybe just first year members of the Marlins organization, as I’m pretty sure at least a couple of those people are not players but probably staff members.

Also remember in past seasons, rookie hazing would involve things like players dressing up in princess dresses and stuff and going out in public. But this 2023, can’t have those type of “hurtful” pranks anymore. So now they just dress in big fish costumes. 😂

Yeah, I thought I saw a girl or two in there as well - I was confused.

The Athletic just put an article up, and confirmed we have the tiebreaker against all of the Phillies, D'backs, Cubs, and Reds.

 

Hopefully we perform well enough that we don't have to worry about ties, but if we at least tie one of the latter 3 teams, we'll be in.

Not that we shouldn't strive for more but in this type of situation it's perfectly acceptable to be aiming for a tie. I feel confident this week because of the tie breaker and knowing it's all we need so I'm not shying away from it.

For sure, I'd rather win outright, than rely on a tiebreaker, but we definitely have that fallback.

 

And yeah, absolutely it gives us options.
