September 24, 20232 yr If the DBacks lose tomorrow things get really interesting going into Tuesday. Cubs and DBacks would have identical records, Marlins would be behind 1 game of both. Cubs will be playing the Braves, Dbacks vs White Sox.

Hopefully they are able to take two of three from the Cubs to take some of the pressure off the Marlins. It would really suck having to sweep this next series but it feels like that's what is probably gonna have to happen. Not sure we can exactly depend on the White Sox, either. Not taking at least one against the Brewers the first time around and losing the Mets series really, really stings right now.

They probably don't want to get stale going into the playoffs so I'm sure they'll at least try. But it's human nature to coast in situations like that and it seems like that's what they've been doing lately so who knows. Hopefully they can take two. Not counting on it, though. Marlins may very well have to sweep here.

September 25, 20232 yr I think the tiebreaker will come into play, so the Marlins only have to tie those 2 other teams, they don't have to be a game better. I think that's gonna matter. I think the Marlins will get in via the tiebreaker and then on Sunday Cubs and DBacks will be playing for the final spot.

We would only need that tiebreaker vs the Reds and they're way behind us in the interdivision record.
