August 1, 20233 yr Just two days ago there was an article which quoted the Mets GM as saying that despite the trades the Mets were not having a fire sale. First David Robertson to the Marlins, then Max Scherzer to the Rangers and now Justin Verlander to the Astros? Getting rid of like 3 of your top 5 best pitchers in less than a week. But not a fire sale, don’t worry. 😂 Anyways, Happy for Verlander. Gets to leave the Mets and go to the 60 win Astros back to his old stomping grounds. Must be a huge sigh of relief for him. He got his big contract, his supermodel wife and is going to the playoffs this year once again back at his old home where he is loved by fans and teammates when just a week ago he wasn’t projected to. Dude is a winner for sure. Always seems to find a way to win. 😂
