November 17, 20231 yr DBacks change their uniforms way too often but these changes are very interesting. The last several years they've had too many uniforms styles that didn't connect so it's nice to see cohesion throughout the set this time. I don't love the home whites but the rest are an upgrade overall... unless you really hate their use of "teal." I think I'll miss their use of sand though.
November 17, 20231 yr Seems like the feedback from DBacks fans is either you love the red teal combo or you hate it because you preferred the red and sand combo. Found someone who mocked up the red jersey in red and sand and it is pretty sweet so it's basically pick your poison... But I can definitely see how many would prefer the red teal combo and I guess it's good that the organization finally chose one color scheme instead of trying to balance two. The consistency is appreciated.
November 18, 20231 yr I luaghed at these idotic teams with their off-white home unis like if the Dbacks have existed since 1800's (Mariners I'm looking at you and Mutts too)

Yeah splitting hairs I guess but I'm assuming that's why it's there in their color scheme. Yes, I also know it literally says teal on the pic but that 💯 looks lighter like a turquoise. Yeah splitting hairs I guess but I'm assuming that's why it's there in their color scheme. Yes, I also know it literally says teal on the pic but that 💯 looks lighter like a turquoise. When the DBacks first started they had a darker turquoise because of the obvious Arizona connection. In their 1995 initial marketing it even seemed at times like the turquoise was more significant than the purple which would become their main color when they started play. When they rebranded around 2016 they brought back the turquoise as a nod to their debut colors but in trying that more vibrant futuristic color scheme they brightened it up and started calling it teal. If we compare it to the Marlins teal the Arizona one is more of a bright mint green. It's a weird color choice I think. I don't get how they can say they're honoring a color from their past and then change the color so drastically to the point that it's just not the same color.
November 18, 20231 yr That "new teal" looks a LOT more like turquoise though than previously used. It literally looks like the same color you see turquoise jewelry being in stores. Teal is darker green than what they're saying is teal. Take a look at the San Jose Sharks or Jaguars for a more true teal colour.
