Which is why I'm damn well happy in my prep school, I had an awesome conversation with my guidance councelor today and it's nice when you have A GC that actually gives a s***. I was in Public before so I do have a base of comparison and I'm so happy my parents put the money up. our GC threatened to screw us over when it came to colleges so many damn times because we would always procrastinate. ultimately in the end he was just 'joking' and helped all of us in that 'search for a college' well the 90% of us that wanted to attend universities. he was a good guy, heard he moved to Kansas, which I am sure hurt the school in the long run. Doc was hte man.

January 6, 200422 yr well the 90% of us that wanted to attend universities. 99% for my school :shifty , then again My school always has small graduating classes but everyone's gone to college from there since the class of 97.

The only reason I don't like private schools as well as public, and I don't like public schools much, is because at least in public schools, everyone must be certified in the subject they teach. Not so in private schools. Although most upper crust private schools have gone to great lengths to insure their teaching staff is state certified in their subject areas, not all are like that. Which means, in a private school, I could teach quantum physics. NOT! Just what Das said... The majority of the teachers in my school have enough credentials to make the mind blow, also 75% percent of the time were forced to call our teacher Doctor so and so. Yeah I think their qualified yet some of them do not have that Teaching Degree YET my school has the right to brag of having The Highest Graduation Rate, Sat Scores, and most successful graduates in the entire area. Yeah I think their qualified despite not having that degree

Yeah I know but I'm in no way Rich, The Majority of my school is pampered by their parents and all have new cars which sucks but their's still a few good kids. I'm one who supports vouchers

I guess I just don't have the ego to start a whole thread on it and proclaim how great I am. But hey, that's just me. Advice: Learn some humility. People will appreciate your writings a lot more if you're not constantly proclaiming that you're better than everyone else. Trust me. Don't take this the wrong way. I really enjoy reading your posts on this board, because you're not afraid to make some bold statements, and I can tell you're a REAL Marlin fan and know a lot about the team. But you don't have to throw your knowledge in people's faces all the time. It's a turn-off, man.

Read what I wrote in my original post: Like I said, I know nobody cares, but I'm ecstatic to the largest extent and I felt like I had to share. I still haven't fallen off cloud nine. I was just so happy that I felt like telling everyone I saw on the street. I posted it because this is where I started it all. If it wasn't for this site, I probably would have never delved into both baseball and writing to this extent, and IMO I made the newspaper because of a lot of people on this site. In fact, one of them is most definately yourself.

Also its true what yenta says a lot of private schools have teachers who are not certified to teach a certain subject but are forced to anyways. Only the elite private schools usually have a teachers certfied because usually private school teachers get paid less than public school teachers.

NOT! yea and you dont like privaate schools because they pay less and your a teacher. most of the private school teachers, at least ones like belen and gulliver, lourdes, have good teachers taht are more like proffesors. the small priovate schools that have like 100 students are teh ones that have the sorry teachers.
