Marlins have 13th best system
I’d really like them to let Anderson lead off, followed by Granderson vs RH and Castro vs LH. Each offers a little more pop/speed to 1st than Anderson. If I had to guess, those are the two that leadoff with Anderson batting 2nd or 3rd.

Future Marlins Offseason speculation thread
Assuming they’re facing a RHP, Granderson in RF Cooper in LF and Walker at 1B would be my guess. Also, Granderson had an .798 OPS against RHP last year, .850 career. I think he makes the team and hits 1 or 2 vs Righties.

Realmuto traded to Phillies
Twitter. Check the replies. Wouldn’t hate... (Marlins) I.Anderson + D.Waters OF + B.Wilson RHP <–> (Braves) J.Realmuto C + D.Steckenrider RHP That would be Miami’s top 3 prospects at MLB Prospect Watch and Fangraphs.

Realmuto traded to Phillies
Not sure if this was mentioned, but Mish saying that Miami won’t grant SD a window to work on an extension because JTR won’t sign. Wouldn’t dismiss it with “winning teams”. Dodgers, Braves, Astros. From Atlanta, Miami wants I.Anderson + E.Inciarte/A.Riley/J.Camargo + another piece, which he doesn’t think they will get. Suggests Miami settle on I.Anderson + C.Pache/D.Waters + another piece.

Victor Victor officially declared free agent
And Frisaro points to “no state income tax in Florida”. https://mobile.twitter.com/JoeFrisaro/status/1052255139715788805 And confirms that “the play is for three players, not one.” https://mobile.twitter.com/JoeFrisaro/status/1052278778070585344 Don’t know how to post Tweets.

Victor Victor officially declared free agent
I’m going with Joe. I thought I remember someone tweeting that the Orioles projected number was high and Miami had already passed them? I could be mistaken, or perhaps that tweet was incorrect as most seem to be sticking with 6.7 as the O’s number. That said, I doubt Frisaro posts the linked article without confirmation from Miami.

Gaston, again according to Fangraphs, would fall in the 14-28 range.- Barraclough traded to Nats for international pool money
Fangraphs (not that they’re the authority, but one example) has VV Mesa as an FV 45+ which would place him next to Guzman (6-7) in Miami’s System. https://www.fangraphs.com/prospects/the-board/2018-international?type=0&pos=all&team=all- Barraclough traded to Nats for international pool money

Didn’t Victor Mesa Sr. say “all things being equal, Miami is the best environment for my sons”? I would imagine the $ number is equal to whatever Baltimore can offer. After this trade, I’d imagine Miami is close.- updated Top 10 prospects from FG (Marc Hulet)

With García being given a shot at the rotation I’d expect he sticks as one of the five starters and wouldn’t be surprised, or disappointed, if Conley ends up in the ‘pen.- Brinson wanted to be a Marlin as a kid
