  1. NY is a great basketball city - but it's also large enough where all sports get their fix philadelphia is a great basketball city as well - but hockey & football also play really well ot the masses
  2. probably my favorite program on - love the way it's filmed and the wide range of characters - glad to hear they'll get a shot at season 2
  3. it's really difficult to compare crime rates amongst countries when there is a lot more factors than just the weapon available I do not own a gun - I grew up around them though - was tought about how to safely use them, respect them, etc - I lived i the country so we spent a lot of time shooting in our backyard I still enjoy the skill of shooting (even went to the range last weekend) - i feel these types of places are good as it gives legal, responsible people a place to safely shoot and learn about their weapons I think a lot of the problem has to do with illegal guns - they are a commodity in the wrong circles - making them illegal wouldn't get rid of them - imo, it would be like drugs - more expensive, but still readily available I think some guns should be taken off the market - sure it's fun to shoot an automatic, but really no point to it - there should also be more restrictions on who can buy guns (my mother works for the county providing pistol permits and some of these people are scary, iliterate or both) I don't think full scale licensing, etc really accomlishes much for the expense though
  4. good deal - there is also a precedent for this with the ref & drexler during the playoffs a long time ago
  5. tim floyd keeps at it - love package deal - talk is already coming out that romeo will end up as a walk-on when the dust settles
  6. i really like what I see from owens as far as having a closers approach - i'd love to see him get the shot and tank could continue to be used as a steady reliever, left handed specialist and the superman in earlier innings
  7. go to annualcreditreport.com and pull for all 3 and pay like the $15 to get your scores in addition to the actual guts of your report also, when shopping your mortgage do it all in one span - when one inquiry is done, any subsequent inquiry in a set period of time (can't remember the exact time frame) will all count under the initial inquiry
  8. nashville is a bunch of punks led by a good in trotz in the west teams like SJ (admittedly biased - but with thorton, cheechoo, michalek & marleu you get the offense - solid defense, athletic goal tending - physical stytle), anaheim, calgary are all more fun to watch than the preds
  9. www.annualcreditreport.com all of the major 3 are required to provide you 1 free copy every 12 months of your report - they are not required to give you a score though and you will probably have to pay a little bit to get that information if you were recently denied credit the institution that denied you is required to let you know the service they used - then you are able to request a free report from them within 30 days
  10. awesome program - some of the best nature footage i've ever seen and in HDTV to boot discovery HD theater is the stuff
  11. i pretty much agree with the first post - just finished watching this game on my DVR - was nice to see jacobs get a hit off a lefty as well - hanley was definitely the catalyst - i was watching the nats feed and they were spelling doom when de aza walked to lead off the inning and when cabrera came up with the bases loaded (they kept saying that there is no way you let him see the plate this inning) zimmerman is a really impressive ballplayer and a lot of fun to watch the marlins looked good on the whole though and it was an enjoyable game - insane effort by ramirez and it looks like fredi is going to have everyone running and being aggressive out there
  12. still trying to find this out of control inflation - i think it's remarkable how flat everything has stayed given the inevitable rise in transportation costs associated with the gasoline price increase
  13. actually on the average wages and inflation have grown at a near rate over the past 7 years with wages slightly outpacing also, inflation hasn't really been that bad - definitely not out of control
  14. agreed - definitely take talent and athleticism, but circus is not sport - just entertainment - I actually enjoy the circus though and am impressed by what they do - kind of neat to have a student one (although I would never waste tuition dollars to major in it)

i drank a lot of honeyweiss while living in the twin cities - if they had it I would go for the leine's red though
  16. blah - you can be thankfull AND unhappy about the direction that things are going - these are not mutually exclusive in fact, this is often a driving force of progress - people who have resources, are thankful they have these resources and then use these resources to make things even better
  17. it was around 100 for the bulk of the day - still around 75 out now and it's 10:30 at night my family is flying down next week - will make them happy - they just have to be able to get out of buffalo
