Iowa
Was thinking 'out loud' i guess... I was just thinking how there aren't many, if any, cities considered "NBA Cities". For instance, Chicago is a Bears city. I know this is kind of a stupid topic but whatever... lol
Guest marlins02
I would say Los Angeles. the titles, hall of famers and the celebrities make it a laker city. trying to think of others
Das Texan
san antonio is an nba city obviously. indianapolis is still a basketball city and always will be, mostly cause of the location.

TarHeel324
Charlotte? Charlotte is a college basketball town. More people there care about Tobacco Road than the NBA. Also the Panthers are more popular than the Bobcats.

PhxPhin
NY is a great basketball city - but it's also large enough where all sports get their fix philadelphia is a great basketball city as well - but hockey & football also play really well ot the masses
MVPosey
NY? honestly? NY is simply a great sports city.
Iowa
I'm not going to answer as if I know what I'm talking about.. but IMO, NY is the best when the Knicks are winning. I dont know if that qualifies that as a basketball city (and GOD knows I hate the knicks), but i dunno.. its hard to explain. I think NY is a great basketball city.. if that makes them an NBA city, i dunno.. but who knows... you'd have to ask a New Yorker.
Mark
From what I've seen, Detroit is a baseball city first. Sure, the Pistons have done well and the Wings have deemed it "Hockeytown," but I think baseball is the first love of Detroit.
TheDon
I would say Los Angeles. the titles, hall of famers and the celebrities make it a laker city. trying to think of others Yes this is a good one although many diehard Dodger fans would disagree. Good choice for an NBA town though.
Bucklin12
Orlando... it's all we got, people are going crazy up here, now that the Magic are in the playoffs.
DelGOT2Rings
I think you need at least two sports in your town before you can be in the equation. Otherwise, I'd say things that make no sense, like "Salt Lake is a great NBA town." I would think Detroit falls in that category. However, everyone I know from there is an absolute, diehard lions fan, and for that matter football in general (either michigan or michigan state for college). So, having never been there, I'm not sticking my neck out on that one.
