this is a great move by the celtics - to me the question for them are 3 fold - depth, health & coaching i think they are now one of the top team in the east in potential - i think only the bulls have like potential i'm a big sonics fan and my wife loves the wolves - i'm very familiar with both allen & garnett - allen is gowing to surprise some people with just how nasty his game is - i didn't realize until he came to seattle - i've seen the guy break down 3 defenders to make space for a fall back 3 - i've also seen him split a double team and dunk on someone - he's also a great team guy garnett is intense in his approach, but not always in his game - a lot of times he'll layup when he should just dunk the ball - he doesn't claw for every rebound - his only other real detriment is a desire to keep his team involved - a lot of times he'd establish the play, draw the defense and then pass to a wide open teamate (who would brick an easy shot) - he'll have shooters to kick to which should free him up in the post and midrange allen and pierce have had some injury issues though - garnett has been healthy, but could sour in a new city if things start to go bad - if pierce or allen go down there really isn't much known behind them also it would be nice to get a certifiable banger in there to battle for loose balls, do dirty work, etc rondo will need to develop really quick as well I think the celtics have 3 years to establish themselves - they need rondo to pan out or to find a point, add a strong post player and a solid scoring and a solid defense option off the bench - maybe those players are there now, we just don't know it - maybe they will need some FA luck with limited funds this makes the Cs relevant right now

it's now officially dead - it started to get sick with the rest of the newspaper industry and it's medicine just hurt it futher (changing the format of the paper a couple years ago)

in that case it would depend on who caused the accident - i would potentially charge the newstation - just like if a news van caused an accident with a firetruck that prevented them from responding to a scene once again - a car chase doens't naturally mean news helicopters have to chase it's not like the chase caused a car to swerve out of the way and hit a pedestrian - that I would charge to the thief as he brought that result to those victims in this case the victims knowingly put themselves in a dangerous situation

i'd rather keep the NBC coverage - i thought they did a pretty good job with it so instead of Vs/NBC we get Vs/ESPN - really the only advantage I could see to this from a fans standpoint is ESPN would feel the need to start promoting their programming through highlights and better discussion of the NHL in their other programming

this happened about a big block from where I work - didn't hear or see the crash, but heard the sirens screaming bye - the one uptick is that they did fall in a park - there are some offices, apartments and a VA hospital in that immediate area - all are fourtanate to be missed definitely a sad situation - however i strongly disagree about charging the car thief with these deaths - the pilots willingly put themselves in a dangerous situation, a situation they did not need to be in - they then negligently operated their vehicles with poor communication and hit each other - it's tragic indeed, but the pilots are clearly at fault here

sergio had trouble finding the plate and then started hanging them - rough outing the d-backs were fairly fun to watch last night some highlights from watching on local TV was seeing uggla - he's a local guy so they always treat him nice and he hit two jacks and absolutely crushed that first ball just foul after his 2nd homerun they showed the marlins dugout and dontrelle was trying to get everyone pumped up - he kept telling dan "that's two dog" the fan definitely assisted on the hudson homer - not that it mattered much first time i've been able to see lindstrom throw - he sure throws hard - almost kind of reminded me of looper a little bit, but two pitches made me think he may be better than that - the first was when he took his fastball down to 95 and crossed up hairston on the inside corner, just great placement - the second was that sick breaking ball he threw that just froze the batter another neat thing they did was focus on the d'backs catchers eyes - he absolutely stares down the batters to make sure they are not looking in and to see how they are getting setup - after that they decided the check on olivo for an inning who didn't pay much mind - don't think it means a whole lot, but it was entertaining i'll be there tonight and tommorrow - hoping for a much better result

definitely win - will not be there tonight - but will be in attendance the next two days

i just started going to the movies again - was originally prohibited by cost and lack of movies of interest AMC charges $5 per ticket for weekend shows that start before noon - i'll usually either buy a soda or bring one in - then if I feel like it do lunch out after the show or just go home and make lunch went to the theater like 4 straight weeks this year - first time in a long time i've done that - early shows are great - decent crowd, at a new theater and price isn't bad

we have an IBM office on our 4th floor - i nickname it "I Bath Monthly", seriously hate getting stuck in the elevator with them in HS i aksed to have my seat changed in AP Calc due to the stench of this girl next to me - hated to do it, but it was so bad I was seriously having trouble concentrating

i was hoping to get out to LA for the friday/sat games - however I just got back in from Albuquerque on Thursday and my dog caught some allergy - leaving town again on wednesday so I just couldn't do it hope to make it to both LA and SD next summer, really want to check out both parks - for this year I'll have to be content with the AZ visit hope you had fun!

hill is a great fit for phoenix - they need a guy who can come off the bench and play smart basketball in a couple of positions while allowing the team to rest up - a lot of times last year phoenix watched 20 point leads vanish due to very poor decision making from the bench phoenix also has a very light practice routine, probably the lightest in the league if anything the style should keep him going - they need 15-20 minutes a night out of him
