  1. Hey! Don’t hurt him! We’re trading him on the 31st!
  2. They’re going to trade him. Probably are going to look at the Astros or Yanks if they can’t get Gallo. Either or Marte is being moved.
  3. As of now maybe Andrew Romine but they knew that had no depth there and did nothing. I’ve pointed is out already but Charlie Culberson, Eire Adrianza, Jed lowrie, Brock Holt, etc all signed minor league deals. All would’ve played real time during the injury spell.
  4. Lmao please tell me they had a Hit and Run on...
  5. And I wonder who’s fault is that? It’s not like we all knew our bench was horrible or anything.
  6. He’s hitting over Mendoza and his at bats have improved significantly this year. I get it though, he’s 27 and other than last year and this year he’s under .200. Diaz, Monte, Berti, and Pop needed to be DFA’d. Monte can’t even beat LB. Marte was never coming back btw. He’s being dealt rather people like it our not. He’s going to demand 15 +. They’re not going to pay that.
  7. Sierra doesn’t need to be DFA’d. He’s improving. Berti needs to DFA’d. Problem is that we’re planning to play with 6 Outfielders in the future or at least that’s what it looks like with they way we built our system.
  8. Very true but there would’ve been continuity and he probably would’ve pitched with comfort.
  9. You’re not going to find that available on a market. The type of stuff you’re talking about are 9/10 homegrown guys. Bender was an anomaly.
  10. I don’t really have a problem with the pen. I had a problem with the “rebuild” to begin with. Adding Floro and Bass were very nice but they definitely could’ve brought back Kintzler and Boxberger instead of Curtiss and Pop(yuck). All for what? To save 2 mil? Even though you really would’ve had a deep pen? Bender is one keeping it just above average if you ask me.
  11. What money issue? Majority of the players named in my post signed MiLB deals. Tyler Naquin, who’s 3x the OF Duvall has ever been, signed for 1.5 mil. Way under Duvall.
  12. That’s the problem as a whole with this FO. We’re deep but all of them are a year away. Shit, Devers is at least 2 but he’s somehow showing competency up here(speaks to his potential) but did we add any bridge guys? No. We had to “fix” a bullpen and completely ignore that the fielding rotation was ridiculously top heavy. We easily could’ve added someone like Eire Adrianza, Charlie Culbertson, Hanser Alberto, Josh Harrison, etc just to stretch the bench but nope! We need to go add Zach Pop.
  13. It’s both of the front office and Don’s fault. Don’s in game decisions haven’t improved and year after year he’s still the same manager LA had to fire to win a World Series. The front office on the other hand refused to add bridge players to this lineup. They signed Duvall, a career platooner, and expect that somehow he’ll be an every day player while Tyler Naquin, who always hit, is killing it in Cincy and UTL guys like Eire Adrianza and Josh Harrison are producing as well and would’ve stretched the bench. Heck, Harrison is good enough to have been a Day 1 starter here and it would’ve moved BA to RF where his athleticism would’ve played better. There’s a clear difference between Hill and Ng and I didn’t think that highly of Hill.
  14. Makes no sense. Why are we promoting a guy who else DFA’d and dropping somebody hitting .220 when we need some bats up? Just DFA Pop
  15. I play in an adult league too bro! Can’t give up on the dream lol.
  16. Did you really ask if facing BETTER hitters will stunt his development? who actually played past middle school here?
  17. There’s nothing realistic about saying he won’t be in the rotation next year. From a Managers standpoint you say that for PR and to inspire competition but there’s no way in God’s earth he isn’t going to be at least in the. No. 4 spot just based off pure talent alone and not including his early success. He has already proven he has the best big league stuff out of the entire rotation. A bad game in the playoffs doesn’t change that. Don’t know if you realize but out of all the guys that are going to be competing he would have the 3rd most experience behind Pablo and Eliesar AND far and away the best stuff.
  18. What is this thread? He was 3-2 with an under 3.50 ERA. Like what? He pitched brilliantly vs. the Cubs too.
  19. I think it’s pretty easy to say that Hill had more say with Loria than he did with Jeter. Jeter brought guys from the yankees here and gave them elevated roles. That’s all that needs to be said.
  20. Defensively yea, he just had an off year with the bat.
  21. If we’re really thinking cost effective prospect wise and money wise then the plan is pretty simple. C- Sign Matt Weiters to a 2-3 mil deal, Keep Wallach on the 40 but move him down 2nd- Josh Harrison to a 4 mil deal, Berti can move to a more natural utility role LF- Jurickson Profar. If he explodes he could offer a big return on a short term deal + he’s a movable piece. Can essentially play anywhere. Move Dickerson to a DH role. RF- Josh Reddick on a 1-2 year deal. SP- Alex Wood on a price it deal RP/CL- Ken Giles on a prove it deal No prospects traded, lineup gets more consistent and better, and all can be moved for prospects if our actual prospects emerge.
  22. If we’re considering a trade for somebody then why not hit up the cubs about Willson Contreras and Jacob Stallings of the Pirates. I wouldn’t mind packaging Alfaro, Guzman, Misner, Urena, and maybe Holloway/Guzman if it got me Contreras and Jose Martinez? Stallings and Musgrove for the Pirates?
  23. JT is unrealistic...like in outer space realistic because of money/contract. He’s not going to be healthy after this one is up. Just how playing Catcher is. McCann is realistic and we’ll only shell out somewhere between 11-13 mil a year plus add pop to the lineup. A cheap option would be Matt Weiters but he would be a righty only option. It’s also worth looking at Wilson Ramos and Mike Zunino if their options aren’t picked up.
  24. Probably. I don’t know how we don’t consider McCann being that it’s the biggest hole in our lineup fielding and hitting wise.
  25. Right? But yea I think signing McCann to a 12-15 mil a year deal is the way to go with the catching situation and some more pop. James is great with pitchers and he’ll smack 18 over the fence.
