  1. Uggla draws the walk. Jacobs due up next.
  2. DP to end the inning! anyone hook me up with a score update? gotta love the no TV games (and I have MLB extra innings too) 5-2 just use Gameday
  3. I am slowly growing quite fond of our little Taco Bell. Mez has been one of my favorite since Game 1! Why does radio only have to be on the weekend? Let's GO FISH!
  4. Nice pics. You left in the 7th inning? The game was 13-4 or 5 and we were in a strange city. The subway was PACKED and not many trains do their routes at night. We ended up having to switch trains 3 times plus the path train that leads you to Jersey City. Grand Total: 2hr 30mins from Yankee Stadium, The Bronx to Jersey City, New Jersey.
  5. and he will still have a 2ish era at worst. even if he does, i still dont think the Astros are making the playoffs. did you see their first half season record last year? Not to mention their first two months were terrible.
  6. WHO GIVES A FLYING f***....CANCEL YOUR CABLE SUBSCRIPTION TO ESPN IF YOU WANT 24 HOURS OF MARLINS! I don't get why you need the people at ESPN to somehow say good things about the team to make you feel better...you people know what's going on and that's all that matters....All the ESPN guys picked the Pistons to win the title...their still playing right??? The Patriots last year.....they won, right??? ESPN PEOPLE KNOW AS MUCH AS WE DO SO GET OFF THE ESPN HATES US KICK. That's a pretty biased opinion.
  7. I was sitting in the bleachers(which I do not recommend for non Yankee fans). It gets really intense! I saw about 4-5 ejections during the game. I really didn't concentrate too much on the game mainly for safety reasons :lol . I had a BoSox fan behind me and a Die Hard Yankee Fan(to my right) who wanted to be called "The Sox Exterminator". They were both duking it out all game including name calling. I don't know how they didn't get ejected. Anyways, it was an intresting experience but I'm not sure I'd want to sit there again. NOTE to Everyone: Yankee fans really, really hate Manny. There was a not a single minute when Manny was on the field where fans weren't screaming curse words at him. Some of these pictures aren't the best of quality but I did the best I could considering where I was. Pre-Game Varitek Beckett Ramirez. I think this is a cool picture. I recently came back from New York and while I was walking through Wall Street at night I saw a bunch of lights so my cousin and I asked a crew member who was on break, what was filimg there. He said Spider-Man and as soon as we heard that we rushed through the streets of New York(5 blocks) and when we got there we saw fake police trucks, fake news channel reporters/trucks, and a bunch of people making a circle. Naturally, we pushed our way into the middle of the circle. The next thing I hear is a man who says "Excuse me sir, you're going to have to get away from this area." and my cousin asks why these other people were allowed to stay and he responded by saying they were all actors/extras. So we stuck around for a while (They were shooting from 6 PM to 6 AM) and took some pictures. Look at the lighted buildings, they are just incredible to see. Everything else is pale in comparison. The shooting location and the actors/extras Sam Raimi? Not really sure, he looks chubbier here in contrast to the other pics I've seen. Film Camera - Was a rainy day. Police Truck More extras. Intresting, they all had raincoats/trenchcoats on. Enjoy! Was definately a cool experience.
  9. JJ has another tough matchup. If he does great in that game I might just join the JJ bandwagon.
  10. Way too early for this thread. I'd have to say the Marlins have to end up at .500 or better for Girardi to get just a bit of recognition.
  11. Kung Pow: Enter The Fist is the only one I have ever payed for to watch but ended up leaving 20 minutes in. Not to mention that I'm a fan of Martial Arts movies (this movie spoofed them). Kung Pow was one of the most brilliant ideas eva!! Yeah, for a chipmunk. (Not really sure what that meant but it sounded good)
  12. Pedro Gomez looks like a clone of the Idol winner and he is a f***ing moron...Anything he says has no value.. How often have you seen Pedro Gomez in studio on BBTN? Use some critical thinking. It was Tim Kurkjian. Anyway, they hated on us because they don't want to rain on the Mets and their $120 million payroll parade. They have to discredit us, so be it. I like the underdog role. I hope Girardi shows that clip to the guys to get them to bust their butts even harder. We're gonna have to work twice as hard to get half as much respect as anyone else. How's that for some sports cliches? :notworthy :thumbup
  13. Your "cuz" is obviously not letting you in on the loop; he was drafted with the 51st pick (second round) by the Atlanta Braves a whole week before you posted this. He posted that in June 2005. My bad. More like, OOOPS?
  14. Happy belated birthday, Thugii. :thumbup
  15. Minervini did not just bark.
  16. I don't think anyone should judge a show by its pilot.

Has signed on to be the lead on the tv adaptation of Have Gun, Will Travel. Here's some more info: Have Gun, Will Travel premiered on CBS in 1957 and ran until 1963. It starred Richard Boone as Paladin, a West Point graduate who became a hired gun in the Wild West. The movie will be updated to contemporary times and star Eminem as a bounty hunter. Boone, who died in 1981, was reportedly rolling in his grave and attempting to haunt Eminem to stop production. Eminem is showing his true blackness, I'm starting to get confused. ========================================================================= Meet VH1's new reality show: VH1's new sixty-minute, eight-episode comedic reality series "ego trip's The (White) Rapper Show" -- premiering in early 2007. White rap legend Michael "MC Serch" Berrin (of the group 3rd Bass -- the missing link between the Beasties and Eminem) serves as your guide through this exhaustive search for the lyrical Admin Bird. Set in the birthplace of hip-hop -- the South Bronx -- 12 contestants from across America will have their skills, knowledge, street cred, and preconceptions about race put to the test. From freestyle battles in Harlem's Rucker Park, to selling sno-cones in a rowdy nightclub, our Caucasian contestants will be consumed by the culture they claim to love. But, as MC Serch asks, will they have what it takes to lead the culture? Or will they bleed the culture? Along the way, a rainbow coalition of hip-hop pioneers and respected professionals will help school and critique our eager competitors. Ultimately, "ego trip's The (White) Rapper Show" will leave one (white) man ... or (white) woman, standing alone ... victorious in the original hood of hip-hop with a $100,000 cash prize and a nation of millions of new fans. :whistle

They are doing the most inspiring movies tonight, however I wouldnt take anything AFI puts out seriously after they did not include The Shawshank Redemption in the top 100 movies of all time. Shawshank Redemption at #23 for Inspiring.
  19. Was I the only one who thought of Craig Counsell's blow to the mouth when Cody was hit by the pitch? Scary moments.
  20. I remember when I got bash when I said we will sweep the Braves. And that was my very first positive comment too. We haven't swept them yet. Anyways, a comeback win! Woo!

I like the show. I got hooked in the first season. What did you think of the first episode this week? It's still on my TiVo, but I'll watch it some time this week with a follow up response.
