June 17, 200620 yr Yep, that's right beating the Jays was the only interleague game not shown, or even mentioned tonight on BBTN. No score, no nothing, as far as ESPN was concerned the game wasn't even played. No love for Uggla's homer either, showcased every young starter pitching tonight save one, Scott Olsen. It's almost laughable if it wasn't so sad...these guys deserve the recognition they aren't getting. They've earned it having won six straight and being the only national league east team to win tonight. Shame on ESPN.

June 17, 200620 yr Some comments from Sportscenter: "And the Marlins win in front of dozens" and my favorite: "Mike Lowell, boy are the Marlins missing him or what?" Now while Mikey is having a good year, considering Cabs is at 3rd base and considering we're on a long winning streak and have played great baseball over the last few weeks, I'm guessing the answer is no. Unless he can play CF we aren't missing him. Fenway has rejuvenated his career and I'm glad for him, but if he were still with us he wouldn't be playing as well as he is now. Some people just have no idea.

June 17, 200620 yr Wasnt the Baseball Tonight last night just 20 minutes? IIRC, At 12:00 begins the Trifecta in which 3 shows are shown in an hour. Last night was World Cup Live, followed by Baseball Tonight, followed by Outside the Lines. Now if there was a 10:00 BBTN, my apologies for I was coming home from the game. But I recall 03 saying he was at the game too, so unless he "tivoed" it, he would be in my predicament. Can't fault ESPN if we werent in the 20 minute set. Blue Jays-Marlins doesnt exactly scream MUST SEE TV.

Out of towners who never go to games, who are never anything but negative and who never contribute anything and then have the nerve to complain about attendance which was 10,000 last night. Maybe if the media would stop telling the fanbase the Marlins are losers or ignore them completely, a fan base can be re-established. The media is complicit in the drop in attendance and to ignore that is foolish.

I'm going to all of the games in DC and to 2 of 3 games in Baltimore...Last year, I went to every game in Philly during the Fish series so I wouldn't say i never got to the games....and guess what i'm positive as anyone else here but i'm not going to let a lack of highlights on one tv channel ruin a great streak like some of you.
