March 6, 200620 yr Hadn't seen anyone post on this yet, but the most recent poster for Spider-Man 3 is out (not real news) and it features Spidey in his black costume. This leads me to believe that Venom will be on board for #4 if they do it and I for one can't wait.
March 6, 200620 yr Generally I'm not a big fan of comic book type of movies (X-Men, The Hulk, etc - though I do like Batman.), but I love the two Spiderman movies. If 3 is anything like the first two it'll be great.

Anyone who think everything has to resembly the comic book perfectly is a fool. It's jut not possible. They could have made it look EXACTLY like the comic, but why? It doesn't have the same origin, are you going to complain because they didn't make a Secret Wars movie to come up with that, too? It'll never match up perfectly with the comic. It's the limitation of film to comics.

But, you're assuming that's the alien costume just from studying this poster. And, since we're going by looks alone, unless you have any knowledge of a written source that specifically describes it as such, my opinion is just as valid as yours.

March 6, 200620 yr Author So who is he fighting this time? Why wasnt venom in 1 and 2? Sandman and the Lizard, supposedly. Venom probably won't make this one.
March 7, 200620 yr I became disenchanted with Spiderman 2 rather quickly, but I am excited to see this movie. Batman Begins really set a new level for superhero movies, let's see if Spiderman can match it. Don't really know how I feel about the classic black costume, however I am willing to give it a shot. I'll have to see it in action before I can judge.
March 7, 200620 yr Having Bryce Dallas Howard play Gwen Stacy looks like it could be a real mistake. She just doesn't look the part... Also, supposedly Topher Grace is playing Eddie Brock, but they probably won't touch the Venom thing for a while, they left the symbiote costume on the cutting room floor for Spider-Man 2.
March 7, 200620 yr Author Spider Man 2 was awful. I have never seen more akward/forced dialogue in a film. Partly written by Michael Chabon, autor of Wonder Boys, Adventure of Kavalier and Klay, etc. I disagree, but to each his own.

March 9, 200620 yr Author Who is Gwen Stacy. And the chick from Everwood is 'not' a good actress. Gwen Stacy is Spider-Man's first girlfriend. She's killed by the first Green Goblin in the comics and represents Spider-Man's biggest failure.

May 31, 200620 yr I know Sandman has been confirmed. I think that they will have Venom in this movie, although it has not been made public yet. Why hire an actor like Topher Grace to play Brock if they're not going to do Venom?
