Cards 1B/OF Eduardo Perez is a name on the block for pitching. I was watching the cardinals game today and I saw Perez and I said to myself this guy could easily be a starter on any team, and at the time I said maybe he would be a good cheap replacement for Lee if we can't keep him next year. What would we give to get Perez? I would think they would want major league pitching.

I was watching an interview with McKeon and when asked the question "Would you like to return to the Marlins next year?" he didn't seem to happy. He tried to change the subject, but eventually ended up saying "maybe." I don't think he's too happy here... That is the stupidest thing I've ever heard, the Marlins gave him a job and he's winning, he's happy believe me. He didn't think he would ever manage again and we gave him a chance.

San Francisco's staff is very good. The front 4 is good if not better than our front 4. They've got Schmidt, Ponson, Williams, and Rueter (who is currently injured though). We have a better 5th starter though in my opinion.

Mike has only played third once, and that was for two innings last year.? He's only played four innings in two games at first. He played third in Texas this year. God. We don't need Mike Redmond at 3rd. We have Lowell, Cabrera, Lenny Harris, Mordecai and Fox. Where did this thread get so untwined???? And we don't need our beloved Mike at First. When I was younger I met his son Prince, who is now the best 1b prospect in the minors with the brewers.
