Actually he made it clear he still has "faith" in AA. Where did you get this information? I read that article but I'm not seeing it happen. He hasn't played since he almost cost us the game against the phillies and I hadn't seen him very much before that. Of course Jack is going to say he still has confidence in him he's not going to tell the media he doesn't have confidence in a player.

nah, thats what MT is for...AA is much more valuable then Phelps because of MT. I don't see what's the point of having Almanza if we're not going to use him. Jack has made it clear in the big series' that he has lost confidence in him, he's not going to use him in a close game.

If anyone goes down it will be Phelps...MT is proven and AA has the stuff...Phelps is the odd man out unfortunately. with Bump, Spooney, Urbina, and Looper, they can get the job done against the lefty's. I'd like to see Almanza get sent down, at least Phelps can eat some inning if the starters get rocked.

There's no room for Levrault or Borland in our bullpen, because out of Almanza, Tejera and Phelps 2 of those 3 are staying on the big club. Then the other 4 are Spooney, Bump, Urbina, and Looper are all staying with the team.

Did you notice that HR now says our bullpen is good with Urbina setting up. He must have got his head out of his a** and realized that Looper is no slouch.

Dave O'Brien never worked with Gary Carter. Jay Randolph and Gary Carter were the Marlins announcers from 93-96. Starting in 97, O'Brien and Joe Angel rotated between radio and tv with Tommy Hutton as the tv analyst. Oh yeah that's right what was I thinking. I couldn't remember the guys name that was with Carter, I thought it was O'brien.

While I would've liked to get Drew. We still have a very dangerous lineup and I know Cabs can get the job done. I'm glad Cabs will be our LF for the rest of the season, because it will be a good experience for him and I think he'll grow from it. I just hope we can get Sullivan.

I just want to bring up one reason why we need Drew, good right handed pitching torches us. Do I have to remind everyone of what Kerry Wood did to us.

If we are not giving up too much why not take a chance on this guy. The way Cabrera has been playing if Drew does get injured than Cabrera can easily fill in. Drew has tremendous upside and if healthy could be a all-star year in and year out.

I can see why Berardino would suggest this but we have to keep AJ. Can you imagine what our rotation would be with AJ in it. It would easily be the best in the national league and probably only behind Oakland in the majors. We're going to have to give up some offense next year and we all know it, but if we are able to keep our great pitching we will still be a playoff contending team.
