Willingham and Olsen recalled
I just heard half the board all faint and hit the floor together. :shifty 823590 So was that the sound that sounded like thunder last night around Miami-Dade, it was just half the board fainting at the news of Willingham being recalled :cool

LOL, is anyone even surprised?
Looks like Bill Robinson escapes again. Expect the next game to be a 2-1 loss. 823267 3rd in average, 1st in RISP average according to Jason Starks. What this team is lacking is power and you can not teach power, unless you are a gym trainer I suppose. 823276 A Gym trainer or a steroid pusher....*cough* Stan Conte

Cabrera is carrying the offense on his back. Thank God for Miguel. 823210 That would be an understatement with 5 RBI through seven innings

Ok that is the number the Marlins are trying to avoid tonight, that is the team record for consecutive scoreless innings. Of course we all know coming into tonight's game they are at 24 so lets just hope the boys can jump on Sosa early :banghead

Alex Gonzalez will keep his hitting streak alive and go 2-4 with a double and two RBIs tonight batting behind LoDuca and Lowell

Stat of the Night
There is no doubt that Marlins is making a good point...but I made that point to show that this offense as good as it should be should not have scored only 2 or less runs in 24 games this season out of 68 (I think)

Front Office.......you guys SUCK
I have lost all faith with the Marlins FO. The Willingham problem, the Lo Duca contract, Bill Robinson, Dillon last year, team struggles, etc. They just sit back and do nothing but call up retarded AAA relievers. Get off your asses and do something already. Beinfest and co.......WAKE-UP you bastards. 821493 I totally agree, it's ridiculous that they've done absolutely nothing, and calling up Frank f'ing Castillo and Logan f'ing Kensing doesn't count. It's obvious there's no one in our organization who can help us right now that is worth calling up, and their failure of signing a player (i.e. DANNY GRAVES) or making a trade is inexcusable. I've always been the biggest fan of Beinfest, but this is insane. 821524 NOW is the time that Beinfest needs to step up and make the move...he can't wait much longer...I feel bad cause it is probably going to cost a few coaches their jobs that this long has been waited but Admin...PLEASE MAKE THE MOVE THAT NEEDS TO BE MADE!!!!

Stat of the Night
If the Marlins score holds up vs. the Braves tonight....The Fish will fall to 2-22 in games where they have scored 2 runs or less ....both of those wins were by D-Train...2-1 over Phillies and Rockies :thumbdown And it might not be a great stat, but it shows that this offense that is suppose to be going through the roof.....is doing nothing but SUCKING A!!

An idea from mlbsource.com
I think that trade would work out for both parties involved....but the only catch is are the marlins basically renting Zito for the rest of the year or will there be intrested in Zito to be resigned at the end of the season????

Pick the MVP
Lowell will break out with a 2-5 type game with a HR and some RBIs in a Marlins victory

Latest Trade Target
NEW TARGET Rockies left-hander Brian Fuentes is the latest Marlins trade target as they seek to upgrade the back end of their bullpen. According to a National League source, the Marlins have been persistent in their attempts to acquire Fuentes, who is making just $328,000 and will be eligible for salary arbitration after the season. Left-handed batters are hitting .158 against the side-winding Fuentes and right-handers are at .225. Fuentes, 29, is 1-3 with a 3.00 ERA and seven saves in nine chances. In exchange, the source said, the Marlins have been dangling Triple-A shortstop Josh Wilson and Double-A right-hander Yorman Bazardo. There is no indication, however, that the Rockies are inclined to move Fuentes, their most valuable reliever. "He's funky and throws 92-93 mph," the source said. "Those kinds of guys don't grow on trees." In addition, the Marlins could have interest in Rockies starters Jason Jennings, Joe Kennedy or Shawn Chacon, but that would depend on how long it takes Josh Beckett to overcome his latest blister problem. The Marlins are not among the clubs expressing interest in Rockies center fielder Preston Wilson. The Cubs or Nationals might be his next employer. Source: Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel

Updated All-Star Votes as of 6/21
Just face it, no Marlins will be starting (although Willis might have a shot). I hate Cardinals fans. :thumbdown 819036 I think it would be a travesty if the D-Train maintains his numbers for the next couple of weeks and doesn't get the starting nod for the NL...no other NL pitchers is putting up D-Train type numbers thus far in the season

Either way when Al pitches the Fish will still need an emergency start from someone....so lets look at AA, when do Olsen and Johnson next pitch or pitched...will the be available either Friday or Saturday???

Trade Bits
redman and mesa would cost a few prospects like dillion, and willy and perhaps someone else 818434 Nobody wants Dillon. He isn't a prospect anymore. Mark Redman might be traded but it will take a prospect or 2 to get him. He has a 2.80 ERA and would look good in our rotation next to Moehler. They both deserve more wins than they have. 818442 I agree that the lefty Redman would compliment Moehler, Beckett (when healthy), D-Train and AJ, but what and how many prospects would you be willing to unload for the journeyman former Marlin lefty....I mean what the Marlins get for him a few years back??? Is he worth Willingham, Stokes, Olsen, Johnson or lower tier prospects??

Dead Fish of the Week (June 13 - June 19)
other...i think the coaching staff blew a big win the other night when they didn't bring in Jones in the ninth to close out Friday's game and then saturday when vlad victimized the pen after a great outing by the D-Train...that hurt
