I highly doubt it is a bad experience for Dillon since it is every ballplayers dream to be at that level. Where better to be than a big league ballplayer if your at any level. As for him supplanting Lowell at third he would be at least 2nd in line cause if Lowell were to get moved that would move Miguel Cabrera to third, so Dillon isn't even first on that list.

Redman and Mesa for Encarnacion would be a great deal for the fish on the condition that they don't have to pick up Mesa's four-million dollar option next season.... Even though I luv the role that Jones has played as closer...he has done the job :whistle

My Question is I know he probably wanted Moehler to pitch a complete game, but why not bring in Jones over Santos in the ninth inning...i didn't get that one...that was a bad move by McKeon....Jones has proven to be the best arm in that pen....he should have been in there in the start of that inning.

No way we should move Beckett as long as we are in the hunt. Starting pitching is the most valuable commodity in a playoff run, and Beckett has the credentials to be our Ace starter. Now if this continues we could look at trading him before he becomes a FA. Cant agree with this thinkin anymore....

I agree that 8 of 9 is asking a bit much....but you never know with this team it all depends which Marlins team shows up...cause if it was the hitters that showed up today that is possible...if it the team that showed up on Tuesday then the team will be lucky to win 3 of 9... :banghead

Great start to the Marlins long road trip, a 2-1 series win against the Cubs isn't too shabby, even though losing Josh with the blister will hurt a little bit...lets see how they do after an off day Thursday and a new ballpark view in Anaheim on Friday-Sunday. GO FISH!!!

Talk about hilarious...Luis Castillo just hit his second home run in three games, when he had 16 career homers coming into this series.... we can only hope that the Marlins offense is here to stay...all i would ask for is 33% of what we have today on a nightly basis....is that too much

I think Jack has set up the rotation to have Dontrelle able to start the All-Star game and pitch maybe 2 innings there and still be fresh for the stretch run.... If D-Train doesn't get the honor it would be a hog wash cause no one has better numbers overall than he does at the moment in the NL It should be a Dontrelle vs. Roy Halladay in the All-Star game

Devils Rays designated Alex Sanchez, yes he the fame of being the first player busted for steroids, despite him hitting .346 (including .372 in May). With all the talk of outfielders....would he qualify even though i doubt it since he is a speedster just like JP is
