How did he injure himself?? 842300 he got hurt while taking batting practice against Valdes in Tampa last week...but it wasn't thought to be as serious as it actually is

Ok almost time to see if my prediction (mind you I suck at making them) can come true with Mikey... Light up TOMO would ya

See another wasted spot willy never does anything in the majors he only took like 4 or 5 at bats. 842296 correction only 2 offical at-bats

Sit Lowell, and have Miggs play 3rd, Conine and Aguila can platoon. 842225 Fire Bill Robinson and Jack McKeon as well. 842228 And Billy and the Mermaids and the Club Level peanut vendor 842229 Never the club level peanut vendor!!!!!

The Florida Marlins recalled outfielder Chris Aguila from Triple-A Albuquerque on Wednesday, and placed catcher Josh Willingham on the 15-day disabled list with a stress fracture in his left forearm. Aguila hit .355 with seven home runs and 25 RBIs in 35 games with Albuquerque. He hit .188 in limited action with the Marlins earlier this season. Willingham was hitless in his only two at-bats since he was recalled from Albuquerque on June 24. Source: AP Too Bad Willy didn't get to show what he had learned in the minors this year

Obviously we would all like to see Cabrera over Abreu, but how many Phillies fans would agree with us? 841996 I wanna see Abreu :cool 842040 Well trust me you are in the minority in that one

Lowell has some reggeaton crap now. 841848 Don't be tearing into reggaeton....some people might like that style of music such as Mikey and others

I agree with FishFan....Admin TO THE RESCUE

Face it people, the Nats do not look like they are collapsing anytime soon. Which sucks. 841897 I have to go against you here I think they will cool down...there is no way their pitching can hold up to all the rigors.... Livan is an inning eater but damn...not that much and Cordero has never pitched this much in his life....

Case in point...i understand Harris is the all-time leader in pinch hits but he was brought in as a defensive replacement for Enc...why wasn't Willy brought into that situation??? JACK....let the KIDS PLAY!!! 841514 Im not so sure it is his call 841519 If it isn't Jack's call then who's is it??? the manager is the one that makes the move on the field last time I checked? 841532 front office perhaps? 841539 Unless you are thinking that the FO wants him in the bigs but for the purpose of trading someone off their big league roster and have instructed Jack not to play him....but why punish the kid...what has he done....nutting but dominate the minors....I don't get it

Once again....be patient.....but Lowell's 3 for 4 outing tonight is HOPEFULLY the beginning of his turn-a-round for the end of the first half and 2nd half....

I totally agree with you Maverick...they need to send him back down to get ABs which is something he is not going to get in the Bigs right now until the Marlins make a so-called move of Encarnacion....

If you are proven correct, you are God 840807 I dunno nothing about God but Mikey needs all the support he can get...ive been a mikey supporter since his FIU days....so go MIKEY!!!

Eh. 840802 Eh...que....i dunno...just throwing out fodder....lol :thumbup

Not much into predicitions and I may be way off base with this one but If I'm not mistaken Mike Lowell has had above average success against Milwaukee pitcher Tomo Ohka, tommorrow's starter, so lets all hope Mikey can get off the rough patch he is going through against someone who he likes to hit off So if I was into predicitions....Mikey will turn it around starting tomm. night

I don't know who thinks he is the savior but for the part of the team that keeps depending on AA kids (no offense to Resop or Bazardo or anyone like that), Spooney would be a sight for sore eyes and if he can come back healty along with Alfonseca it would shorten the starts games from 7 innings to maybe 5 or 6 innings at the most....and it would save the arms of half our staff P.S. Good Job on the report there Butchy keep us fans up-to-date on that kid

ok thanx Marlins2003....appreciate it

can someone please let us non-internet listening (work rules) folks know what Gammons had to say?

very nice pics and thanks for the view of a game that we had....

Wow....This team can definetly give you motion sickness... One day you get a gem from Dontrelle....and then today you get a great game from the rookie and the Jack has to mess it up and hopefully he didn't mess up the kid's pschye by pulling him b4 facing a pitcher that doesn't have a hit all season. Just a shame to waste Olsen's effort and another good game from Gado with the big bomb..... Need to take the next 2 and get back on track b4 the break next week. GO FISH!!!

I'd put Cabrera in, The Home Run Derby should be a time to showcase new talent rather than rely on old stars. Most people tune in to the derby for most part regardless if some of the bigger names are left out. 839295 I doubt the HR derby will get nearly as many viewers this year without Bonds in it. 839300 That makes me wonder....with NO BONDS...is that why the MLB changed the rules of the Derby this year...in fear of less viewership

I think his last start is what finally changed McKeon's mind about the rotation...my vote goes for .... LEITER

Cabrera - .423 AVG 2 HR 6 RBI .545 OBP 26 AB Cabs has 0 votes, I guess we've accepted this as an average week for him - lol... 839266 Average week not sure about but it was a good week...but Enc, as much as people want to get rid of him, just raised his trade value a little bit due to the fact of reaching base 10 times straight....i had to go with Enc this week and with the fact that Willis, Cabs, Luis and Dukie got theres with their all-star selections
