GAME 7! HERE...WE...COME!
Congrats to the Marlins. A well deserved victory, and an INCREDIBLE game. I've never seen a game turn around that fast. The Marlins snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. Thank you, Cub fans! Thank you, Alex Gonzalez! (the Cubs Alex Gonzalez, that is :lol )

Marlins vs Cubs---7:30--at the PRO
Don't understand why Pierre is running there. You don't want to give Clement outs.
-
It was just 1 game...
Clement is a batting tee. Well, that might be a stretch, but he is certainly no Wood or Prior. The Marlins should win tonight. This probably is a MUST win game for them anyway. This series is far from over, especially with Clement and Zambrano going the next 2 games.

"Corky, Corky"
Sosa probably stashed away all the cork from the champaign bottles for future "accidents". :lol

I Officialy Hate the CUBS Now
None of these comments is a shock to me. When the Cubs were in Cincy playing the Reds early this past season, a number of their fans showed up, and were being rude and obnoxious. In that series, Griffey dove for a ball and seriously injured himself. While on the ground, Cubs fans in the outfield were heckling him. Since then, my hatred for the Cubs and their fans knows no bounds. :angry

I really like this site!
I've definitely found this to be one of the more entertaining and fun baseball boards, other than RedsZone. I have Ramp to thank for leading me here. :whistle

Have fun at the game, Ramp!

Dumb Cubs fans aren't giving you a chance!
Just wanted to let all the Fish fans know that I was watching WGN and they proclaimed that the Cubs will be "heavy favorites" to go to the World Series. Heavy favorites? Please. Obviously, they haven't seen the pitching of the Fish or the heart of the Fish. That would be great locker room material. Not that the Fish need any motivation. Go Marlins!

Wow! What a game!
Watched the game from my home here in Cincinnati. What a terrific game-- Pudge really came through when it counted. Bonds is one game away from elimination. :lol GOOD JOB MARLINS!!!
-
Classic.
That's pretty funny, Ramp. :lol Obviously, that press release was a little premature. Go Marlins!!!

Congrats to the Marlins and their fans
Who would've thought that the Marlins would be in the playoffs at the end while Jeff Torborg was managing? Not me. Jack came in and did a remarkable job. Jack has always been a class act and it's nice to see the good guys win. Congrats to the Marlins and all their fans. I'll be rooting for you in the playoffs, all the way to the World Series! :cheers

St. Louis Bats
Well, actually I'm looking at rotoworld.com and it's possible that Edmonds will play. Funny, I thought he was going on the DL. I guess not. I'm all screwed up. :wacko : Here's the source: http://rotoworld.com/display2.asp?sport=ML...yers&X=5151&Y=0

St. Louis Bats
Isn't Edmunds out? And I think we can manage to score enough runs of the Cards pitching... Oops, I forgot he's injured. Even better news for the Marlins!
-
St. Louis Bats
The Cards pitching hasn't been great all year. Woody Williams is their ace at this point. Matt Morris is hurt and wasn't pitching too well before his injury. Their rookie Dan Haren has had a few good starts. As a Reds fan, I can definitely say that the Marlins have the upper hand as far as pitching is concerned. However, the Cards do have one of the best offenses in the league, so it'll be interesting to see what happens. One note though, watch out for 2nd baseman Bo Hart-- he has been hitting very well this season, and he sets up their offense in the leadoff spot. If the Marlins can get either Edmonds or Pujols out regularly, they should win the series (assuming the fish can score enough runs).

Marlins vs DBacks---7:05---at the PRO
So far, so good guys! Keep it up! 3-1 Fish.

Dusty Baker the biggest DUMB A$$ of em all.....
As far as the Reds are concerned, I would say that Aaron Boone as an All-Star is questionable as Jose Guillen probably deserved to be chosen more. As I understand it, Guillen wasn't chosen because Dusty already had 8 outfielders and didn't want any more. Also, every team has to be represented. Dontrelle Willis not being chosen is an absolute joke. I totally agree with that point. I get the feeling that LoDuca was taken because he got snubbed last year and was very unhappy about it and let everyone know it. I also can't explain Mike Williams being chosen. That is laughable, as Giles or Aramis Ramirez deserved it much more. Very questionable selections by Dusty. No doubt about that.

Castillo-Penny for Dunn-Sullivan?
I just don't see this deal happening. I don't think that the Reds FO has the guts to trade Dunn after hyping him up for the last several years. I give this deal about a 1% chance of happening. :wacko :

Derrek Lee Banner
Here is her REAL avatar :lol :wacko : Smith, you are hilarious.

Derrek Lee Banner
From a D. Lee thread to Blind Date to the Jerry Springer show. :jerry Sorry guys. I just wanted to say that this is the strangest baseball thread I've ever seen. You guys are pretty funny. Absolutely no love for Derrek Lee at all here I see. :lol

BEST GAME I'VE EVER SEEN
I'm awestruck. Maybe I'm wrong but tonight's win, Mike Lowell's homerun, I believe it sealed his fate with the Marlins. I don't see anyway that the FO could trade him after this. I think he just became an untouchable. I'd have to agree with that. The Marlins would be crazy to trade him now. I saw the highlights on Baseball Tonight. Great job on the comeback. Eight runs in the final 2 innings. Incredible.

The Pressing Question
Heard about it from Ramp on RedsZone.com. Thanks, Ramp. :w00t
