Posted August 3, 200321 yr Let's hope the Cards' bats start to cool down tomorrow before we go to visit them later this week. 5.6 Runs/Game since the All-Star Break. 7.8 Runs/Game in their last 4 games.

August 3, 200321 yr na dawg, even i dont have any idea who we can pitch Puljos..... the man is a Beast a steady diet of chin music
August 3, 200321 yr lol chin music so he could swing on Redman as he did Bennet? I don't see how people could call that a punch that was a tap.
August 3, 200321 yr Today's game was good. The Cards need some Seriouse Bullpen help. They were terrible today Pitching Wise....
August 3, 200321 yr The Cards pitching hasn't been great all year. Woody Williams is their ace at this point. Matt Morris is hurt and wasn't pitching too well before his injury. Their rookie Dan Haren has had a few good starts. As a Reds fan, I can definitely say that the Marlins have the upper hand as far as pitching is concerned. However, the Cards do have one of the best offenses in the league, so it'll be interesting to see what happens. One note though, watch out for 2nd baseman Bo Hart-- he has been hitting very well this season, and he sets up their offense in the leadoff spot. If the Marlins can get either Edmonds or Pujols out regularly, they should win the series (assuming the fish can score enough runs).

And I think we can manage to score enough runs of the Cards pitching...
August 3, 200321 yr I looked 2 or 3 St. Louis game and I don't know why they aren't the first? I think they are more dangeourus at bat than NY or Boston but they've a very bad bullpen. :marlins

But their dismal pitching will kill them.
August 3, 200321 yr I hope Penny beans Pujols. Nothin like a good bench-clearing brawl lol. Ok, minus the suspensions.

August 3, 200321 yr Well, actually I'm looking at rotoworld.com and it's possible that Edmonds will play. Funny, I thought he was going on the DL. I guess not. I'm all screwed up. :wacko : Here's the source: http://rotoworld.com/display2.asp?sport=ML...yers&X=5151&Y=0

You're not screwed up Snowstorm. It was rumored that Edmonds would join the DL until Thursday (I believe that's the correct day). Edmonds stated that he's feeling a lot better, and Larussa said he would be in the line-up either Sat or Sun. Prior to the game on Sat Larussa said that Edmonds may pinch hit on Sun, and probably wouldn't start util Tuesday.
August 3, 200321 yr A poster on the Cards forum said that Willis' start has been moved to Wed. Do you guys know if this is true? I was looking forward to seeing a match-up between Willis and Williams
August 3, 200321 yr I have also heard its gonna be Penny-Willis-Beckett, which would put him against the Cards' rook (another one will f up) This will make his next start on Monday the 11th at home against LA, so it might be a PR move as much as a move to win more.

August 3, 200321 yr Willis hasnt been moved, Wednesday is his regular turn in the rotation. I dont where the idea of him pitching Tuesday came from.

I don't know where the idea came from, but it was announced a few days ago that Willis was moved to Tues. Woody Williams is being moved to Tuesday (his regular start would be Wed).
