i'd love to see Sea Bass in the game but he's not even in the top 5 in voting. Realistic? I find it pretty damn gaudy that Rolen is so far ahead of Lowell and almost as insulting is Vinny C being ahead of him.

Thats a good point, i've been waiting for Castro for a awhile. Although I was pretty jazzed when we got pudge, I didn't think we necessarily needed him b/c of Ramon. I figured this would be his year to break out but back to the bench went he. Stratton has just impressed me since I see him all the time jacking 430ft bombers here in Albq.

So Robert Stratton strikes out - A lot. He also has great power and can turn a game at any at-bat. He has 26 homers, leading AAA by a convincing margin, leads the Isotopes in Extra base hits (36), and leads the PCL in Slugging (.621). Instead of having Hollandswoth(less is played) on the bench backing up the whole outfield lets bring up a guy with some pop who can get things done.............................as long as he doesn't have Dunn-like K's.

This is definately the best site I have found regarding the Marlins. When you have so few options, its nice when one of those options does the job.

I could see him winning a couple of CY's down the road but that can be said for hundred of pitchers who looked stellar in their first month. He does seem to have a flair about him though that the marlins have lacked since 97(sheff, Bo, Brownie). I think his best asset to the team (besides consistent starts) is the exposure its bringing the Marlins. The more he throws, the more everybody wants to see.

The kids all over the place right now. He'll be in letterman and leno if he wins another 2 starts (especially if they're more shutouts). Don't destroy that arm just yet.
