Cro says "Jack blew up 2 arms this season".
it is called the day of the spoiled athlete more than anything else. they get paid millions. In the old days, starters pitched every third day with a lot of innings because they threw all the time. Today, pitchers dont throw hardly at all except during warmups. Managers dont blow pitchers arms out because of 3 consecutive days work, the players themselves get themselves in a position where they dont stay in pitching shape. and what does jacka know?

oh, 3 days straight. you beginning to sound like spooney. a pansy who cant pitch. 3 days in row does not affect ML-ready pitchers.

Stephen A. Smith trashes Brad Penny on PTI
Beckett has better stuff but did not work as hard as Penny. Penny is the Duke and always will be. Once he realizes the difference between throwing and pitching to location and maintains the Lions heart, Penny will achieve more than Beckett. No one other than Penny should complain about Penny

Mota and Carny Happy to be Here
Whether you agree about the trade is one thing, but to make statements like RBIs do not matter, suggests a lack of knowledge. Sure you need men on base but if you cant knock them in, it does no good! Example is Choi who Ferry called a stud, because he had a decent obp but was not a good hitter with guys in scoring position. No coincidence the Dodgers batting him 6/7 either. Right now, he is a little more than a punch and judy hitter. He does not scare the opposition.

Marlins Trade summary
maybe better than the C position but that is it. on the same level as AGON at the plate....but he should get better. 7th on the team even behind easley

Marlins Trade summary
Ferry, 3rd best hitter? ever go to games or just a stat geek? He had plenty of chances to knock in runs with Lowell and Cabrera both around .300. Like all of us, we wished he would have knock in runs but after April, he did not "hit" that well. It is also obvious that the top 4 have averages around 300, leaving the next few guys to knock in runs. If he couldnt do it in the 6th hole, what is the difference in the 3 hole....just two less potentially on base.

Line Up
Sure is funny that the line up that everyone was so critical of (Conine 5th - Choi 6th) won 4 games in a row. We were just lucky to score that many runs. Fairy guaranteed

Wayne optioned to AAA
Misused? Dont care if you are admin or not, a non-proven reliever misused? If any, he should have stayed in AAA.

Tonight's Line Up
Have you guys ever thought that Mikey may have requested to bat third behind Castillo and Pierre? Sometimes you have to keep the players happy in certain positions in the batting order. Do you see Cox changing his lineup around in Atlanta although A Jones has been slumping most of the year? NO!

then why do they say in papers they need BP and hitting help!

Realism
Everyone needs to realize that we dont have the horses right now to win the division. Decent SP but no bullpen other than Benetiz. Weak at C, 1B and in general hitting. Like stated in the paper this morning, Pudge always kept rallys alive with clutch hitting,,,,this year we have no one who does that. We lost 3 close to 100RBI guys from last year and replaced them with ?

Players have no faith in...
I doubt i am not aware. There are a bunch of us who realized this team would struggle in ST. We were lucky the first few months but realistically, this is the team we have. Take away the big 3 from last year plus fox, and it would have been the same situation. Nunez is a 5th OF. Always play to tie at home, therefore the bunt was in order. Funny that Bowa did the same thing in the Philly series and Mandy held them. That is ML baseball. Like with Bell in that situation, you play to get the tying runs home. If he would have hit into a DP, you would have biatched that he didnt bunt. Baseball is about second guessing. have fun doing it!

Players have no faith in...
third of people want him third, third of people want him 6/7 and the other third want him on the bench. I suppose either way McKeon goes, people want be happy. the life of a manager on a struggling team. if I remember last year, same was said about d lee.

Players have no faith in...
Doug Davis. Are you nuts! How is he ready? Dont worry, these managers have been around. The main difference between this year and last year is we lost some key guys off the field and in the clubhouse and in the bullpen. Remember, it is hard to repeat anywhere you go. BTW, johnnie boy, do you read the papers and see that he is grumpy. I personally think he is taking it too much in stride (knowing that this team is not that good).

Easley should get more starts at 1B
bagwell has had a great career and he is not six foot. neither is Tino, mattingly and others. if you can hit with power, you can play

Sunday's blue plate lineup special
maybe getting someone a look at Nunez before we trade him? Conine, at his age, needs atleast one day off in a week, especially with Phils coming to town. Prolly should have put Conine on first in order to leave in our hottest hitter (other than Pierre). I would have left Choi on the bench.
