  1. pathetic and old enough to know the differences in journalism.....
  2. go watch your cartoons
  3. yeah...you are right. For a kid, Been there, done that.
  4. not all the time but their job is to sell papers. Bernadino does it all the time
  5. Hey kid, reread the post before commenting. It is called "putting words on paper to draw readers". There is nothing positive about the paragraph.
  6. Just look at this from the Post today. Where is there anything harsh in what McKeon said in his book. This just happens to be the same writer. "Dusty Baker is ignoring Jack McKeon's harsh words about the Cubs in McKeon's recent book. "A lot of what we did was taken away because of that foul ball," McKeon writes about the 2003 NLCS, which the Marlins won in seven games, in I'm Just Getting Started. " 'Bartman this, Bartman that.' I don't want to hear it. I seems like the Cubs always have an excuse for everything. Hey, it's baseball, things happen ... I respect the Cubs' talent; and Dusty Baker, who knows the game inside and out, is a great manager. But sometimes you have to give credit to the other guy or just admit you didn't get the job done." "It's Jack's book," Baker said last week. "I'm not going to answer about what someone else wrote. That's pointless."
  7. Probably in the clubhouse
  8. and everyone else source is what? a newspaper.....please!
  9. Just as a matter of fact, McKeon did not call Perisho Mike. It was an overzealous sportswriter for the Post who wrote this and later apologized to McKeon and the organization. Dont always believe what is writter in the paper. They have to sell papers and tend to misquote often. There is a reason that ballplayers in general do not like to talk to the media.
  10. Not sure if it converted to them to his side but more the fact of harmony. It has been stated many times on this forum that guys need to know their roles and that they should perform in said roles. Well, with a set line up, pretty much set bull pen rotation over the last few weeks and less criticism, the players themselves have to prove their value. Lets face it, we win when Pierre gets on base.
  11. Isnt AJ the same guy who questioned McKeon for taking him out early in his last outing! As for the idiot calling, it usually is the one who calls others idiots. But I understand, kids will be kids.
  12. Opinions based on observations, everyone is entitled. Ohka did the same thing with Robinson, got chewed out, then traded. That is the problem in today's game. The players with the large salaries think they are above all else. Luckily we have guys like Harris, Pierre, Mordy,Conine who are professional and dont show up the team, manager or themselves. Whether they can play or not, there is always room on a team for these types.
  13. Please explain "If the FO and staff are treating their players in a professional way, they don't have anything to worry about. Unfortunately last week, that did not happen in several instances. I can tell you that I look at the FO and McKeon and staff in a completely different light since then.
  14. welcome to major league players and fans. Each of us has the right answers but only one can fill in the lineup.
  15. People griped the other night about bunting in the 8 or 9th inning loosing by one run and today it is not bunting in the fifth inning.
  16. not sure everyone on the field is excited either about the changes
  17. No, in the 7th hole, gives AGON something to hit.
  18. multiple choice?
  19. Who do you think made the decisions, Maverick? Loria Beinfest, et al McKeon Wiley
  20. For Manager but not as hitting coaches!
  21. or putting JP (7th) before SeaBass so that if they walk to get to SeaBass, he will see more fastballs due to JP threat to run. Castillo LoDuca Cabrera Delgado Enc Lowell JP SeaBass
  22. Unless they move someone, where do you play him. A lot is about money. You should know no one prolly wants any of these except Lowell. He maybe the only option to get him in the lineup EVERYDAY otherwise, no opportunity. Conine $$$$ Enc $$$$ Cabrera - not getting rid of LoDuca - $$$$ Lowell - $$$$
  23. I didnt realize that living in Nevada had anything to do with being a Marlins fan. I was an original season ticket holder of the Marlins and have followed them ever since. In fact, while there, employment with the Marlins was also a possibility. Not negative to the Marlins, just to the ill-perceived.
  24. I agree Maverick! Some of us fans dont always agree either.
  25. Oops, forgot the "U" U R getting caught up where u shouldnt. Stay a "real" fan.
