We need a good lineup

Featured Replies

Our problem seems to be that when we get runners on base, slumping batters always seem to come up Pierre,Lowell or the pitcher. It always seem that when we get bases loaded the pitcher comes up or Mike Lowell and the inning ends. We need a lineup that will distribute our players evenly.

Might seem stupid but we should give it a try.

Yeah I know it is close to the standard line up. But it would show confidence in Mikey. Plus it would give him protection with delgado behind him. Luie doesnt need protection and it would give Cabera still protection with Enc. I think it would work

Castillo's the best leadoff hitter right now, move JP down. Throw Alex up there for a game or two & see if he keeps hitting. Delgado 3rd and Miggy 4th worked best for both of them. Enc's still hitting a little, and this 6-7-8 order can still hit.

It would be very interesting to see what Alex would do with some protection behind him. The only issue is Alex doesn't hit well to all fields and isn't that good at moving runners along. He hits more like an RBI guy.

How about

Quite true PB, and I don't think it'd be a good permanent solution. Just want to take advantage of him while he's got a fairly hot bat. Otherwise it's wasted at the bottom of the order and he's getting intentionally walked or pops out on awful pitches because he thinks he has to swing at everything with the pitcher on deck.

or putting JP (7th) before SeaBass so that if they walk to get to SeaBass, he will see more fastballs due to JP threat to run.

CA LoDuca - Take his mind off run production and just getting on base.

SS Gonzalez - He has never been in the middle of the action. I'd like to see what happens.

LF Cabrera

1B Delgado

RF Encarnacion

3B Easley - He is hitting and Lowell is not...what more can be said.

LF Conine - I love Pierre but right now we can't afford his weak bat. Someone has to hit.

2B Castillo - bat him in front of Dontrelle...could be a decent inning.

Interesting strategy to use the two leftfielders, and no center fielder. :mischief2

Apparently we're in need of a hitting coach, too. :mischief2

They should send Willingham up here to teach Lowell and Pierre how to hit.

That's the money line-up right there. Can't take Moe out of the lineup. He got 2 RBIs last night.

Lo Duca at clean up? Hmmm... Sounds like painful suicide.
