I've been to seven games in Miami, saw the season opening series in Houston, caught three in San Diego, I'm leaving for Arizona friday afternoon, and I'll be in LA for that series. Fans who want to be there will be there, but casual fans only come out to see the major attractions. With a $15mil. payroll, there aren't enough household names on the field to motivate people to sit in that sauna of a stadium.

I saw three old men pass out in the stands during one day game. I have never been so miserably hot in my life. And I spent 14 months in Baghdad, Iraq wearing body armor and a kevlar helmet! The Marlins absolutely have to get out of that stadium. What happens now that the Dolphins are getting ready for their season? That has to be a mess.

is kensing on the 60-day DL, is it that serious of an injury? Guys don't go straight to the 60 day DL. He'll go on the 15 day DL and then if he can't come back they'll move him to the 60 day at that point in time. I hope he get's better soon though, very promising young pitcher. Mitre has a lot of experience at the big league level, at least relative to most guys on the team. I seriously doubt he'll start a game anytime soon. He'll probably relieve until he can get his pitch counts elevated.

Hoover seemed a little anxious on Sunday's game, the first time i've seen him play. I hope it's just the jitters because that was a terrible showing.

The kid's first MLB hit was a grand slam, right? Where do you go from there? There's nowhere to go but down. He's not MLB ready, but he's the best option available. He's going to get better, but he's never going to be the guy everyone thought he was when he hit that grand slam.

Agreed, Taveras is a quick guy, but he K's too much. I really don't understand why the Marlins didn't get a CF though. I have as high of hopes for Reggie Abercrombie as anyone, but the kid still needs some work. Amezega is a solid option, but I could have seen us getting a guy like Dave Roberts or Mike Cameron. I think a seasoned veteran with speed and a bat could get paid to play for the rest of the season. I understand and appreciate the stadium issue however. I flew out to Miami from California to watch 7 games in May, three of them day games. NEVER AGAIN! Put a roof on that thing and i'll come back, otherwise i'll stick to catching the fish on the road.
