Post Game 8/3
I like to watch baseball at a fucking baseball game. Not bang on a fucking drum for 2 hours chanting and fingering my 80 yrold girlfriend. Yes, this actually happened 2 rows in front of me. These tards weren't even watching the game. They would hear the crowd and then suddenly get up and play musical instruments even louder. Again, its a fucking baseball game. Watch the game. Don't finger your 80 yrold gf, and don't play shitty drums when nothing is going on. This! All of this!

Why is this even a discussion? Of course speed factors in to BABIP. Always has. It's always been a known fact. This is nothing new. Billy Hamilton is going to beat out more infield hits and bunt for more hits than David Ortiz. How hard is that to understand? But- and this is just a yes or no.... Is there a part of the BABIP formula that says "speed"? You're not locked jnto a yes or no , but you get the point. Or does the formula only account for the outcome? Speed is irrelevant- the formula simply uses it's result. Literally, speed is irrelevant when computing BABIP.

So, how do you read these posts? Interesting that your brain thinks those posts don't agree with me and completely disagree with you. EricOwens literally said exactly what I said, because it's absolutely 100% right, and it's just logic or common sense. Myself, Erick, EricOwens, Piazza (once he figured it out) and it seems even Penguino all agree here. Please, someone correct me if I'm mistaken. What the fuck do you mean once I figured it out? Fuck you- that implies I had no idea what was going on. I'm still right, as Erick mentioned- it's a logical move to say speed affects BABIP but in no way does the formula account for it. Figured it out-----psssshhh. You are still fucking lost at sea.

he could have used "it's" too. At the beginning of a sentence I prefer not to use a conjugation. Atleast when I'm using proper Grammar. My own quirk, I know.

I don't why you keep repeating this like you made some astute observation when it's really something painfully obvious. It is because YOU'RE a fucking idiot. Isn't it obvious?

Yes. Piazza 31 is simply being too literal when people say speed factors into BABIP. Thank you! Consider who wanted to have the argument , I figured I'd oblige.

Without a doubt, a player that is faster than another player will on average have the ability to sustain a higher BABIP than the slower player. So yes, speed plays a role in BABIP. But BABIP does not account for speed, only it's outcome. There is no part of the formula that says "S" or "Speed".

All of you need to let this go. When you think about it, you're all right. I apologize wild card is so argumentative. Yes, BABIP only factors in the outcome, but that outcome is certainly dependent on the players speed, how hard the ball is hit, how well it is fielded...etc. Accept you are all right and be friends. You're turning my husband into an angry blogging zombie (more so than usual) and it's ruining my Saturday night! Go fish!

Well yeah, but I assume that's the context of the discussion since it started with Dee Gordon. It started with Dee Gordon? Speed isn't affecting his BABIP, or even his OBP- it's his lucky rabbits foot. Lucky rabbits foot that's gift wrapped in dirty pictures of the baseball gods.
