Within three years, the only thing you?ll have to conjure up is a ticket to Orlando, Fla. Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. and Universal Orlando Resort plan to open The Wizarding World of Harry Potter within Universal's Islands of Adventure theme park in 2009, Tom Williams, chairman and CEO of Universal Parks and Resorts, announced Thursday on TODAY. The ?theme park within a theme park? is the first fully immersive Harry Potter-themed environment based on the bestselling books by J.K. Rowling and the blockbuster feature films. "The plans I've seen look incredibly exciting, and I don't think fans of the books or films will be disappointed," J.K. Rowling in a press release. Williams said Rowling has been collaborating on the park from the beginning and will continue to do so through the opening. 'Authentic world' Visitors can stroll about Hogsmeade, discover the mysteries of the Forbidden Forest and explore Hogwarts castle. "(Visitors will) be able to sense the sights, the sound, the touch and the feel, the smells and really immerse themselves in this authentic world," Williams said. Stuart Craig, the Academy-Award winning production designer who has worked on the Harry Potter movies, is leading the creative design on the park to ensure it remains true to the look and feel of the films. ?Our primary goal is to make sure this experience is an authentic extension of Harry Potter?s world as it is portrayed in the books and films,? Craig said in a press release. The Wizarding World will feature rides, shops and restaurants all based on the fictional world of Harry Potter. I hear ya....I'd love some more rollercoasters and more of an update to the older rides. that Four Seasons is going to be ridicously over priced....I mean, Disney is expensive as it is...but that Four Seasons might be out of the league for the usual Disney vacationer...I can only wonder...the one here in Miami is going for $550 a night...(March 9-10)..... As for the West-End "Downtown Disney", I guess it's ok...just another way to make more money...and to try to get more people to come in through the Western Beltway...Technically all you see when you come from that side is the Coronado Springs Resort....

  11. to this day, I still think that Valentine's Day is a VERY Commercial holiday... with that being said, we are just going to dinner to one of fav. restaurants who actually kept their prices normal...and I plan on getting creative decorating his car later... I get flowers on a random day of the week, so I told my fiancee specifically that I didn't want any overpriced flowers...and he stayed true to his word...No flowers!
  12. what TSwift said...this year...to buy tickets day of game will be more expensive....so if you want to "save" money you need to buy your tickets in advance If you go to the marlins store, you can get tickets with the extra charge. You can also get tickets for future games at the stadium as well. You can always get tickets, they just may not be good seats. We had 50,000+ in 2004 and 2005, but there were still 10,000 seats left for the game (upper level outfield). The Marlins store doesn't have an extra charge....it's the same thing as getting them at the stadium box office...

  17. Just a heads on the Dream Along with Mickey....not all shows have the articulated characters.... Has anyone on here had a "dream" come true from the Dreammakers disney has for the Year of Million Dreams?? We did...we got dream fastpasses on 1/1 at MGM...we also got to be the last riders on the Rock-n-Roller Coaster before it closed for it's rehab...good times....
