I think that it's an amazing video...saw not that long ago, but definitely impressive to have all of them coordinate and well choreographed.
  3. The giveaway is the DVD, they reproduced it from the VHS.
  4. I imagine that the Leaky Cauldron will be one of the little "restaurants" in the area.
  5. Soon you will no longer have to worry about dirtying your robes with soot while traveling the Floo Network, suffering the uncomfortable sensations of apparition or stumbling upon a port key in order to reach the magical world of Harry Potter. Within three years, the only thing you?ll have to conjure up is a ticket to Orlando, Fla. Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. and Universal Orlando Resort plan to open The Wizarding World of Harry Potter within Universal's Islands of Adventure theme park in 2009, Tom Williams, chairman and CEO of Universal Parks and Resorts, announced Thursday on TODAY. The ?theme park within a theme park? is the first fully immersive Harry Potter-themed environment based on the bestselling books by J.K. Rowling and the blockbuster feature films. "The plans I've seen look incredibly exciting, and I don't think fans of the books or films will be disappointed," J.K. Rowling in a press release. Williams said Rowling has been collaborating on the park from the beginning and will continue to do so through the opening. 'Authentic world' Visitors can stroll about Hogsmeade, discover the mysteries of the Forbidden Forest and explore Hogwarts castle. "(Visitors will) be able to sense the sights, the sound, the touch and the feel, the smells and really immerse themselves in this authentic world," Williams said. Stuart Craig, the Academy-Award winning production designer who has worked on the Harry Potter movies, is leading the creative design on the park to ensure it remains true to the look and feel of the films. ?Our primary goal is to make sure this experience is an authentic extension of Harry Potter?s world as it is portrayed in the books and films,? Craig said in a press release. The Wizarding World will feature rides, shops and restaurants all based on the fictional world of Harry Potter. The announcement of the park adds to the current Harry Potter frenzy; the seventh and final book, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," will be release on July 21 and the fifth film, "The Order of the Phoenix," opens in theater on July 13. -- Jen Brown, TODAYShow.com ? 2007 MSNBC Interactive LINK TO ARTICLE This sounds like an intriguing idea for IOA. Maybe it'll help boost attendance to the Universal Studios Area...

  8. I hear ya....I'd love some more rollercoasters and more of an update to the older rides. that Four Seasons is going to be ridicously over priced....I mean, Disney is expensive as it is...but that Four Seasons might be out of the league for the usual Disney vacationer...I can only wonder...the one here in Miami is going for $550 a night...(March 9-10)..... As for the West-End "Downtown Disney", I guess it's ok...just another way to make more money...and to try to get more people to come in through the Western Beltway...Technically all you see when you come from that side is the Coronado Springs Resort....
  9. Hey guys...I just received this e-mail from them...thought you guys would be interested! ________________ Four Seasons to Anchor New Disney Luxury Resort Business Expansion plans also include value-oriented retail, dining and lodging district LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla., March 1, 2007 ? Walt Disney World? Resort today announced two new projects as part of an expansion plan for the resort in Central Florida: a new 900-acre luxury resort anchored by the prestigious Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and a 450-acre retail, dining and lodging district on the western edge of the Disney resort. "These projects are first-of-a-kind for Walt Disney World and we are thrilled to be able to bring Four Seasons to our resort," said Meg Crofton, president of Walt Disney World Resort. "Families around the globe know they can trust Disney to deliver magical experiences and Four Seasons to offer exceptional service and amenities. Combined, this is a huge win for devotees of both brands and for Central Florida," said Crofton. LUXURY RESORT AND GOLF COMMUNITY Along the northeast border of Walt Disney World Resort, Disney plans to convert its Eagle Pines and Osprey Ridge golf courses into a luxury resort and golf community. The development will include a luxury hotel, 18-hole championship golf course, single- and multi-family vacation homes and fractional ownership vacation homes. Disney entered into a letter of intent with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts to bring these two complementary and respected brands together to anchor a new world-class family resort destination. Four Seasons is dedicated to perfecting the travel experience through continuous innovation and the highest standards of hospitality. Currently with 74 hotels in 31 countries, and more than 25 properties under development, Four Seasons continues to lead the hospitality industry with innovative enhancements, making business travel easier and leisure travel more rewarding. The deeply instilled Four Seasons culture is personified in its employees ? people who share a single focus and are inspired to offer great service. Four Seasons currently operates two properties in Florida, Four Seasons Hotel Miami and the Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach. "The Resort will have all the ingredients needed to create memorable vacations: gracious and caring staff; beautiful surroundings that are thoughtfully designed; and services and amenities that make every experience one to cherish," said Kathleen Taylor, president and chief operating officer, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. "It's an honor to collaborate with Walt Disney World Resort on this project. Walt Disney's reputation for service excellence and exceptional family entertainment amenities is an ideal complement to the values of Four Seasons. Central Florida will be a valuable addition to our family of resorts, particularly since this is a destination our guests already enjoy." Once terms of the project are finalized, site work could begin later this year, with a hotel opening forecasted for 2010. VALUE-ORIENTED DESTINATION ? MIXED-USE TOURISM DISTRICT On the western edge of the resort, Disney is planning a mixed-use tourist commercial district just outside Disney's gateway entrance. The master-planned development is comparable in size to Disney's Animal Kingdom?. Click here to see larger images. The project combines third-party branded lodging, retail and dining in a pedestrian-friendly environment and will be another example of Disney's commitment to unique placemaking. Located outside Disney's gateway around the interchange where Western Way meets the Western Beltway, early development plans include 4,000 - 5,000 low- to mid-rise, value-priced lodging units and 300,000 - 500,000 square feet of commercial space. Designed around a retail village, the development will become a convenient shopping and service center for Cast Members, nearby residents and Central Florida visitors. The project is currently in the design stage. Site work and branding is anticipated to begin later this year. The project will be built in phases over the next 8 - 10 years.
  10. I know some of you might have just gotten this e-mail...but here's an update..... February 20, 2007 Dear XM Radio Subscriber: We want to share with you some exciting news: Yesterday, in Washington DC, we announced XM Radio will be merging with Sirius Satellite Radio to form the premier digital audio service. The merger will create a satellite radio company that will provide consumers across the country with more and better premium radio programming. The combined company will be able to compete better in what has become a very complex and dynamic entertainment market. Where today our exclusive contracts mean you had to choose between baseball and football or Oprah and Martha Stewart, the new company will seek to ensure that in the future, you will be able to access both companies' programming. And, once we are fully integrated, those of you who have factory-installed satellite radio will no longer be limited to the programming provided by the exclusive satellite radio service chosen by their car manufacturer. This merger should be completed in late 2007 or early in 2008. Throughout the year, we will provide updates on how the merger is progressing and information will be available at our website, www.xmradio.com. Between today and the merger date, as well as during the period immediately after the merger date, all of your services will remain the same. The channel lineup, the customer service number, the great music technology, and the XM Radio web site will all remain unchanged and there will be no disruption to service. But, if you have questions, information will be available and maintained on our website, and you can contact our Listener Care team at 800-XMRADIO, with questions and concerns. XM Radio continues to be committed to providing you the highest quality audio entertainment and customer service available today. After the merger, our new company will be able to offer you the most exciting listening experience in radio. 11. to this day, I still think that Valentine's Day is a VERY Commercial holiday... with that being said, we are just going to dinner to one of fav. restaurants who actually kept their prices normal...and I plan on getting creative decorating his car later... I get flowers on a random day of the week, so I told my fiancee specifically that I didn't want any overpriced flowers...and he stayed true to his word...No flowers!
  12. what TSwift said...this year...to buy tickets day of game will be more expensive....so if you want to "save" money you need to buy your tickets in advance If you go to the marlins store, you can get tickets with the extra charge. You can also get tickets for future games at the stadium as well. You can always get tickets, they just may not be good seats. We had 50,000+ in 2004 and 2005, but there were still 10,000 seats left for the game (upper level outfield). The Marlins store doesn't have an extra charge....it's the same thing as getting them at the stadium box office...
