we dont have many catching prospects so i was thinking about this trade this offseason sending mike jacobs to the yankees for catching prospect jesus montero. hes only 18 and hes gonna be a good power hitter! what do u think?

i was on the espn chat for tonights game against matt cain and giants fans were guaranting a win tonight!!! are joking me even when our offense was cold we were still better than the giants offense! haha and cain's stats aren't exactly eye popping, 8-9 record, oly's without a doubt a better pitcher!!! go scott go!!!

well the rays are on fsn so i doubt they'll put back to back games on, this sucks i cant see the games on sun sports

wat about all our pitching prospects??? were not gonna let them just sit in the farm forever i think that we will get rid of at least 3 starters. maybe mitre, olson, and nolasco i still think we'll hold onto JJ and anibal and call up miller and maybe graham taylor or sinkbeil or someone in the farm

i keep hearing all this talk about fire sale and trades this offseason why does everyone keep mentioning cody ross???? he has shown that he can adjust to pitches and hit them oppo he can definently hit the long ball and he gets hits in clutch situations! if anything we should move him to left field this off season and then put maybin in center

i see three position players the marlins should build there team around hanley, cody ross, jorge cantu. hanley is a given, and the thing i like about cody ross that u dont see from most of the other players is that he can adjust to pitches and hit them the other way along with hitting the ball well in clutch situations. cantu puts up a good average and hits for power.

never give up pitching for catching.... Treanor, Baker are not that horrible. Bakers pretty good, but Treanor? Matt is very good defensively, has good hitting fundamentals and he brings along a gold medal winner with an amazing ass. He can stay. dude!! :blink: :blink:

didnt fredi gonzalez say that dan uggla had come out of his slump last week, and ya hes got a couple of hits here and there but it seems like his power hasnt been shown for about a month. from what i've seen hes just been hitting stuff oppo and bloop singles

Intersting post-game scene in the Marlins' clubhouse following the 3-0 loss. Generally the reporters go straight to manager Fredi Gonzalez's office. Tonight the door was shut, which isn't unusual really. That's the routine when the Marlins make a roster move. No roster move tonight, and that door remained shut an awfully long time. At first, the media was told Gonzalez would not be available. A couple of minutes past and owner Jeffrey Loria, President David Samson, President of Baseball Operations Admin Beinfest and General Manager Michael Hill emgered. Gonzalez characterized the roughly 30-minute session as "kicking stuff around." My initial thought was the Marlins were demoting one of their regulars. I thought about Jeremy Hermida, but then he appeared from the players' lounge and parked himself in front of the televisions with several other teammates to watch some Olympic swimming. at least someone sees the problem heard that on the radio im very curious any ideas i didnt get that last part if sum1 could explain "at least someone sees the problem" i think he means about the offense
