  1. ya ill deff be back for at least one more home game this season
  2. idk who all was at the game but after the fifth inning when they had the people dance with billy the marlin my best friend was the kid with the tattoos! it was pretty cool we were talking with dj petey for a lil bit and he hooked us up with a bunch of free stuff and let my friend go down there and dance. just thought that was pretty cool and we had a great time at the game! thanks everyone
  3. morgan is a faget he started this whole situation and in the interview he said he was just sticking up for himself. BS! he was just tryna be the center of attention. and i give major props to gaby for jumping in there and protecting his pitcher. morgan got what he deserved No need for that word unless you're talking about a bassoon. Plus, you misspelled your bigotry. what did i mispell?

  5. I think the only non-question mark is Johnson in this lineup. You dont know what will come out of Nolasco. Which Nolasco shows up? To me Sanchez and Nolasco are in the same boat... hopefully they both come out good. With Volstad... you know he's got the skillset he just needs to put himself together. I honestly see Volstad as the difference in a playoff team this year. As for Robertson... I expect him to start the season off nicely before the batters start adjusting to his pitching... and I expect the Marlins to be actively shuffling that 5th spot. your an idiot if you think nolasco is in the same boat as sanchez. plain and simple
  6. When I found out that Samson was watching movies at midnight last night is when I confirmed the thought that he has very little to do with trades. Didnt he say he was watching Knocked up for the 100th time? haha i watched that last night too
  7. Eh....I'd be really surprised if the Marlins made any major moves. Yea I see us unloading maybe Hermida for a pen pitcher if anything I doubt that Loria will open the wallets, and allow the few millions it would take to bring people to plug the holes we have. The one trade I think its a must for us if we are to really compete in the NL East is trading for Roy Halladay, and this would put us over the rest of the division. The way I would work that deal is like this "Roy Halladay, Scott Rolen, and a player to be named later" for "Cameron Maybin, Andrew Miller, and Emilio Bonifacio" Plug Rolen at 3rd, and well our rotation would look like this! Roy Halladay Josh Johnson Chris Volstad Ricky Nolasco Rick Vandenhurk I dare anyone in the National League to top that! lol haha cocaine is a hell of a drug
  8. yeah the only way i see us trading ross or other starters is if we fall out of contention in the next 4 days
  9. Could the Tigers' solution to its offensive woes in a pennant come from a hitter who, once upon a time, provided a brief boost to the Tigers at their lowest point? If that hitter is Cody Ross, it's possible, though not necessarily likely. Yahoo Sports' Gordon Edes reports that the Tigers have shown interest in Ross, currently manning center field for the Florida Marlins after finally getting a chance to be an everyday player last year. Now 28, he's an experienced, right-handed bat with power and run production for a Florida club that has had an outfield in flux, including an up-and-down season for former Tigers top prospect Cameron Maybin. If the Marlins reverse course and decide to be sellers at Friday's trade deadline, Ross is one player they could shop. The Tigers have always had high regard personally for Ross, who broke into the Majors with the 2003 Tigers after coming up through Detroit's farm system as a draft pick. He hit his first big league home run, a grand slam, in the same game in which he blew out his knee running out a sacrifice bunt. While Jair Jurrjens has become well-known as the Tigers prospect who got away in a bad deal, trading Ross to the Dodgers for lefty reliever Steve Colyer in Spring Training 2004 was a move the Tigers came to regret, though it took Ross two more organizations before he emerged. While the Tigers might think a lot of Ross, so do several other teams that have faced him, making Ross a popular trading chip if the Marlins decided to move him. But if anything, the Marlins are looking to upgrade right now, since they're within striking distance of the NL East lead and NL Wild Card. http://trades.mlblogs.com/
  10. i think lee would be a good pickup but our main focus right now is bullpen and offense
  11. was the point of calling up gaby sanchez if your not gonna start him??
  12. OMG, way to post something that absolutely everybody who follows the Marlins already knew! And there can't be an answer to the Matt Holliday talk, considering there never was any talk! nobody told you, you had to read it buddy
  13. Marlins president of baseball operations Admin Beinfest told The Miami Herald on Tuesday that there is now "an openness" to trade for another bat. One problem, though, is the fact that the Marlins -- strapped with the lowest payroll in baseball -- don't have many realistic options, The Herald wrote. The publication called the potential acquisition of Athletics outfielder Matt Holliday, who's making $13.5 million this season, too pricey. If it decides before the July 31 non-waiver Trade Deadline that the playoffs are an unrealistic goal, Florida could then dump try to dump salary. Some options would be Dan Uggla (making $5.35 million this season), Jorge Cantu ($3.5 million), Jeremy Hermida ($2.25 million) and Cody Ross ($2.225 million). But, at this point, the Marlins -- coming off a three-game sweep of the Padres -- aren't there yet, according to The Herald. http://trades.mlblogs.com/
  14. this is a little off topic but has anyone heard anything about anibal or is he out for the year??
  15. During this roadtrip, If we cannot close a gap (within 5- game-behind), then we gonna be seller. It's inevitable. I highly doubt this team will be a seller. A seller would mean trading people like Ross, and Cantu - not Hermida and Uggla which have real replacements. We definitely aren't going to be downgrading our team. We have the second easiest schedule in the NL (first are the Brewers and third are the Dodgers) so we'll be fine playing 18/68 games with teams with .500+ records for the remainder of the season We're also 5 games behind the Wild Card so the team has the ability to get to the playoffs this season - but we're going to need some sort of a good move. No it wouldn't necessarily. The depth of our minor league system allows us to make trades without actually sticking a useless player in that position. If worse comes to worst then Gaby Sanchez and Cameron Maybin will be brought in to replace anyone traded (people will be shifted around the infield/outfield, but it's been said enough that everyone knows where everyone would go.) That's hardly a season-ending sell. Cantu and Ross are the only two who's trading would be a horrible blow to our offense (I say Ross because if you move Ross, and not Hermida, you still have Hermida...) Cantu's far too useful to be traded with aspirations to contend. the whole purpose of a trade is to better your team and getting rid of ross and cantu is the exact opposite
  16. The manager's job is to impart knowledge to his players. Its one thing to fail at physical aspects of the game, such as getting a hit. Its another thing to be beaten by Jamie Moyer so many times because the hitters are TOLD BY THE HITTING COACH (obviously with Fredi's blessing) not to change their approach. i agree 100%!!!

  21. Why not just start a thread to see if maybe we should get Pujols? heyy way to start off the post in a negative fashion champ!!! :thumbdown It started off in a bad way the moment you hit submit. ohhh bet that one took awhile to come up with, huh?? Nope, I saw your post and replied to it. You? I bet using 3 H's and 2 question marks really tested your literary skills. Look, I don't want to fight here, I was just using sarcasm to point what I felt was a really bad topic. We're not getting Mauer. Hell, no one's getting Mauer. He's been in (known) trade talks just about never. His name is never in the rumors and has never been known to be on the block. haha its all good man yea ik but a guy can dream cant he? lol plus i like baker, and the way he handles this pitching staff
