Is this game on TV tonight? Saw something on my facebook yesterday that there was another scheduling conflict...please tell me it's being shown, 2 consecutive games of no TV would really suck. There's no reason not to show it tonight... I saw that too but did some research and it will be on TV. Channel 655 for DirecTV owners. Its that one channel where the don't show anything for the most part, but sometimes show random games. I think its like an alternate channel or something. Any hope for comcast users? I doubt it... This crap sucks and a shame for a MLB club having back to back days with non-tv games..

The reason why they wont broadcast the games on the website, is so that mlb.com/radio (where you have to pay to listen to game day audio) isn't taken a loss by people going to the teams broadcast radiostation website to listen in there. You can only listen by radio or paying for mlb.com/gameday audio

The first game against Colorado will not be on TV as well. Out of the 162 games, 150 are going to be televised. That's a pretty good amount of televised games if you ask me. This is B.S!! really...

I think Cogz will be back in the line up (even after Brett's performance last night) regardless of whats been reported last night was more of mental day off for Cogz. Miller looked a lot better, when he misses he misses up and away to the left on rh batters. His curveball looked very sharp and when he was up in the zone he got hit. Overall, is was a good performance and made a stride towards getting into the rotation rather then going away from it. He did respond poorly to the error which is something that will come with maturing, lets not push it with him, him getting through 3 inn. right now is HUGE (sad) Hensley, not overpowering and/or not very big on the mound but he makes outs, as well as making quick outs which is always good for your offense mentally.

Mike Stanton is making it VERY VERY hard for Fredi to send him to AA this season to start off... I myself would love for him to get some more AB's in the minors but WOW has he really been tearing it up!

I dont think Volstad is ready to start the season in the bigs. It might be best for him to get some time in the minors working with bring down his sinker

No chance he is on our Opening Day roster. I view this as the Marlins reminding people that we have an awesome prospect after there has been so much talk about Heyward and Strasburg this Spring. Exactly what I was thinking, Stanton hit his HR a day before Heyward did and there was absolutely no talk about it! But when Heyward hit his HR it was like " Wow look at that thats a why he's # 1" you know they need to give the Stanton some credit. This is to remind the baseball world we have the # 3 prospect in baseball and hes exactly what we expected just how the braves and washington expected so much from their prospects.

I would like to see the rotation fill out as Johnson, Nolasco, West (if he comes around in spring), hensley and Penn and/or RVH With Hensley, hes been pithcing great sicne last year but to bring it on this early in spring seems as though he might have a chip on shoulders from not being called up!!

I have no doubt that we will find 3 suitable SP's to follow JJ + Nolasco in the rotation. Every SP except Hensley and Penn have options left, I don't think the FO would have much of a problem starting off the year with Volstad, Anibal, West, RVH or any of the others in the minors if they need to polish their game a bit. I think Volstad should actually start the season in the minors, and possibly Anibal too if he isn't looking any better. I agrre I dont think Volstad is ready to come back, I think his rookie year was a bit of luck and lack of scouting on him or lackthereof

Hensley is making a very very strong case to join this team for openning day!! He had a very nice outing today Hensley 3 inn pitched, 1 hit, 0 runs and 1 K Johnson solid as always!!

No Rab and Lou we are looking at reality. Perception is part of reality when you screw all the good you have done, by looking cheap just the one time. Because most people, like Mike & Mike have an agenda, and they started making fun of the Marlins in 2006, when they said on their show that the Marlins were a joke because of the $ 24 million payroll. The Marlins have a PR nightmare, and Loria was prodded into spending more money this year, only with a public reprimand from the MLBPA and the other owners. You can continue your unabashed Loria worship, but many of us are not buying what he is selling, and judging from the crowds the Marlins usually get, neither is the general public. And they are the ones that make the final judgement (by attending or not) whether or not that is fair or not. Yes they have a PR nightmare, but Cody Ross isn't effecting that at all. You don't seem to understand that. It's arbitration. It happens every year with multiple players. WHO CARES! Stadium. Hanley. Johnson. More signings in the future. Winning ball games. These are important things. Going to an arbitration panel with Cody Ross isn't doing anything. More so, you want to bring up current attendance? Who really cares, they are never going to draw in that stadium again because there is to much negativity surrounding it from the past 10 years of the franchise. You know what crowd is going to matter? When every game in 2012 is sold out before opening day. Then in 2013 when attendance falls back to 8-10,000 a game what will you say ? I do understand it, I do get it. For the PR hit the Marlins take today ALL OF THE GOOD in signing Uggla and Johnson was wiped out. Is it fair ? No, but that is because unfairly or not, the Marlins are perceived by the public, and more importantly by the players as cheap and the last place you want to end up. The Marlins and Loria should care, because in the long run, the damage this causes the future is worth a lot more than the $ 250,000 he should have agreed to pay Ross. I mean he ends up paying it anyways, and now has let the media and fans make fun of him. Its just bad business -- it doesn't help your future. Did Mike and Mike talk about on their national show the signing of Uggla ? NO ! Did they talk about how cheap the Marlins are for not giving a player they counted on, will count on this year, a much deserved raise ? No they only talked about the $ 250,000 the Marlins were too cheap to pay. Don't you see how this kind of thing is seen by the players ? Those men who are potential FA's ???? Is losing the right FA and possibly that one link to winning a WS title, worth the bad PR you got for fighting and LOSING an arbitration hearing ? We are not talking about $ 1 million, or $ 3 or 4 million, but $ 250,000. If I can't get you to understand the damage that taking Ross to arbitration today, then I suggest you never get into the restaurant or customer service business. You just don't get it that sometimes you bite the bullet on a small amount of money to stop the bad PR your overall business gets, deserved or undeserved. The Marlins look extremely unattractive to most FA's and this only adds to that. Seems to like you re the only one worked up about Cody going to arbitration. Its a normal procedure conducted year in and year out, how is it bad for Marlins to conduct their business in proper form. Now, if the marlins didn't sign him because of that amount and let him go that looks bad, either way he was going to get paid it was just about determining the amount. No PR damage was done, do you see this on Miami Herald front page? Is it all over ESPN? It was mentioned on a radio show and thats it, nothing more nothing less. GET OVER IT!! EVERY TEAM GOES THROUGH THIS, its nothing out of the ordinary lol

Honestly, this all depends on Morrison, its his job to lose. If Gaby puts on a crazy performance in ST is the only way I see him bypassing Morrison. About Branyan, I think he fits of what we would like coming off the bench, and I think thats why this wont happen. After the season he had last year I don't expect him to want anything less than to play a full season and see if it wasn't just a fluke. As this goes down to negotiations, which right now doesn't even seem as we offered anything just simply comtacted his agent, he's going to want to play everyday and really for that we just play either Morrison or Gaby Over all, if this signing is for a bat off the bench and to spot start once a while I am for it but not for him to start as our everyday first baseman, for that we could of kept Jacobs (30hr's)
