White Sox get Garcia
I haven't read much of this thread but isn't Ortiz not on the 1B ballot because Millar gets most of the PT at 1B? Anyway, Ortiz has been awesome this year. And Kerry Wood is not the most overrated pitcher in baseball.. that title goes to the guy the White Sox just traded for. A two time All-Star who this year has a 3.52 ERA and five quality starts in his seven losses is overrated. You're right.

White Sox get Garcia
OK Passion here's the deal. The ChiSox played KC five times and went 4-1. They played TB six times and went 4-2. The Twins played the west alot but so did the ChiSox. 0-2 against Oakland, 1-2 against Seattle, 2-1 against ANA, and 2-1 against TEX. They also played the Yankees prior to contrary belief, where they are 3-4. The big kicker is that the ChiSox lead the Twins 4-3 in the season series, including taking three of four in Minnesota with a 17 run output in the final game of the series. The Sox are currently one game back on Minnesota in the Central.

My Pictures from the Airport!
Congratulations guys. This team sure is something to be proud of. As a White Sox fan I can honestly say that the Marlins played some of the best baseball I have ever seen in the playoffs this year. This team truly deserves and all of you great fans definitely deserve this. It's great to see so many Marlins fans welcome the team home. That will show those idiots who say Marlins fans aren't good. You guys are great and it has been a pleasure sharing this experience with all of you. It was a hatred of the Cubs that brought us and you together and in that time I have developed a love, albeit not as large as mine for the White Sox, but love nonetheless, for the Florida Marlins. I am proud to say Florida Marlins 2003 World Champions. It feels good. This is great and I'm very happy for all of you down in South Florida. Savor this. Enjoy it. You all deserve it.

White Sox Fans
As a White Sox fan who was deathly scared of what would happen with a Cubs World Series berth, I whole heartedly thank you for your team and the passion of you Marlins fans. It was an absolute pleasure sharing this experience with all of you and congratulations. I will be behind you one hundred percent in the World Series. Take out the evil empire. I know you can do it. Once again thanks for your team and thanks for being great and knowledgable fans. You guys rule. I officially have a second favorite team. The Marlins have officially replaced St. Louis. You play baseball like its supposed to be played. GO FISH!!!

Moronotti: Marlins vs. United States of America
Settle down, Beavis. I wasn't talking about loyal fans - obviously! Let me ask you this, though; where were the fans before the Marlins started threatening to become a playoff team? Even *this* year, attendance has been garbage up until September. I don't really care if you like the Cubs or you hate the Cubs, their fans show up win-lose-or draw. That's kind of the point of the whole "loveable loser" articles you have been choking on lately. I agree whole heartedly that the Yankees have fair weather fans. 26 World Championships definately have something to do with that - no argument. The fact that they've been around since 1903 may have something to do with that as well... However, the Yanks also have some of the most loyal fans in baseball. Sure, we can be loud and crass and vulgar and obnoxious and cocky and arrogant. But we we're like that in the 80's, too. Even when there's little to root for, we have a legion of loyal loud Yankee fans. Now that you have a good team, get your friends into the seats. Get your media behind your team. Raise your children to love them fish. And, by God, don't ever have another fire sale! So, marlins02 and pudgie 1981 think they are passionate maniacs. Anyone else? Because I want to hear you making some noise next week when we meet you in the Series! :hat More than half of Cubs fans aren't TRUE fans either. You mention that they fill up their park win or lose, however they don't care about the team one way or another. The Urinal is a tourist trap. They go there and socialize and get drunk and then when they go home they ask "Who won?" They are the least educated baseball fans on the planet and I am not going to back down from that statement. It's easy to fill up your park when the media drools about how "majestic and historic" it is and one of the nation's most circulated newpapers owns the team. Cubs fans are not loyal so do not look at them filling their park as being so. It's a very false view.

GREAT JOB! GREAT JOB!
Personally, the most resilient team I've ever seen. Just unbelievable. Watched it here at Valparaiso University at a bar near here and the place went silent on Lowell's HR. Music to my ears. Just great. Congrats and thank you Marlins. Your team is lucky to have fans like you. Bring it home guys. Prior is tough but who knows what could happen with you guys.

AMAZING GAME
It's obvious what team the media wants to win it. Come on you guys no better. Just brush it off. You're up 1-0 and have homefield advantage now. The Cubs can't handle the speed of you guys. You guys have all the tools of a champion. Seriously.

They're Scerred
Greetings from the South Side of Chicago folks. I guarantee you that Cubs fans are looking past you guys and think that they are going to role you. Cubs fans are obnoxious, arrogant jerks who don't deserve this. Be patient. Root your team on. I know I will be.
