Florida Marlins @ Chicago Cubs -- NLCS Game 2

Featured Replies

Just a TV note: since tonight is both Game 2 of the NLCS and Game 1 of the ALCS, one game will be on FOX, the other on FX, depending on your area.

In the following markets, the Marlins-Cubs will be on FOX: Albuquerque, Atlanta, Austin, Birmingham, Chicago, Cincinnati, Dallas, Dayton, Denver, Fort Myers, Greenville, Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Knoxville, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Louisville, Memphis, Miami, Milwaukee, Nashville, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, Orlando, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, San Antonio, San Diego, San Francisco, St. Louis, West Palm Beach.

In the following markets, the Marlins-Cubs will be on FX: Baltimore, Boston, Buffalo, Charlotte, Cleveland, Columbus, Detroit, Greensboro, Hartford, Kansas City, Minneapolis, New York, Norfolk, Philadelphia, Portland, Providence, Raleigh, Richmond, Seattle, Tampa, Washington.

OK, listen up kiddies, here is how the FOX network split works.

FOX has predesignated territory to the ALCS tonight that is exclusive to them. The NLCS will be seen on MOST FOX affiliates except in the Northeast for obvious reasons.FOX Sports provides exclusive live split-national coverage of Game 1 of the American League Championship Series and Game 2 of the National League Championship Series on Wednesday, October 8 (8:00 p.m. ET).

Areas of natural geographic interest receive ALCS Game 1 on their local FOX broadcast affiliate, while a simultaneous live feed of NLCS Game 2 is available on the FX cable network.

Those areas of the country receiving NLCS Game 2 on their local FOX broadcast affiliate are able to watch ALCS Game 1 on the FX cable network. FX is available in over 80 million U.S. households.

Below is a breakdown of the top 55 markets, detailing which game will be carried by the FOX over-the-air broadcast station.

Boston Red Sox at New York Yankees markets include: Baltimore, Boston, Buffalo, Charlotte, Cleveland, Columbus, Detroit, Greensboro, Hartford, Kansas City, Minneapolis, New York, Norfolk, Philadelphia, Portland, Providence, Raleigh, Richmond, Seattle, Tampa, Washington.

Florida Marlins at Chicago Cubs markets include: Albuquerque, Atlanta, Austin, Birmingham, Chicago, Cincinnati, Dallas, Dayton, Denver, Fort Myers, Greenville, Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Knoxville, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Louisville, Memphis, Miami, Milwaukee, Nashville, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, Orlando, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, San Antonio, San Diego, San Francisco, St. Louis, West Palm Beach.

Now if you need to find FX, here is a locator.

Go to http://www.fxnetwork.com/main.html

Then when the page loads, on the bottom right hand corner there is a box that asks for your zip code. Enter your zip code and follow the instructions for your local FX cable channel assignment.

If for what ever reason it doesn't give you a channel number, just visit http://www.tvguide.com/ and look it up in the listings.

Stupid Raleigh...good thing I moved off campus cause campus TV doesn't even get FX. I don't know what the hell I would have done.

Since we all know we are teh better team and we have the better picthing i think we can win this b*tch in 5 games cuz WOOD is pitching in game 4 but he is going aganst Dontrelle

im not afriad of Prior and nethier should any you be

This is a game were not supposed to win and this is a game the Cubs have to win. So if we could steal this one it could be devastating for the Cubs.

Great point, especially considering the Cubs have to win to avoid going to Miami with an 0-2 hole.

Be scared of Prior, don't be scared of Wood.

"There is not one pitcher that is unhittable and not one lineup that is untamable"

Bring It

Prior could have a game like Beckett and Zambrano did.. Sure its Highly Unlikely but everythings possible...

the chance that Prior gives up 2 run in 6 innings has worse odds than Juan Pierre hitting 3 grandslams in a game

the chance that Prior gives up 2 run in 6 innings has worse odds than Juan Pierre hitting 3 grandslams in a game

That is definitely not true. :D

Go Dime! :thumbup

no doubters tonight or Das will use his rope and shotgun

your kidding right??

your kidding right??

Well from wut ive heard and seen from prior i also doubt the marlins have the greatest chance. tho anything is possible, realize that this game, the cubs have the advantage...

I'm another immigrant from whitesoxinteractive.com. I actually wasn't going to join, but instead only read some of the opinions of Marlins fans, but this is, next to our humble site, the best fan site i've ever seen, so I had to join. I've liked the marlins ever since '97, when they beat the also hated Cleveland Indains :) . As for tonight's game, I think the Marlins can score on Prior. Your lineups balance of speed and power is the best I have seen in a while, and I think beating Prior is a distinct possibility tonight.

People, Mark Prior is not invincible.

And let's not forget, in Penny's last outing against the Cubs, he took a No-Hitter into the 5th.
