It sounds like to me that squall was just talking to some dude somewhat in the loop who was pretty f***ing confident that Pujols would sign with the Marlins (just as Loria, Beinfest, and Samson appeared pretty confident). All of the insinuations about it being a "done deal" were silly from the start, though. That was before Pujols played the Marlins like a drum. Bingo.
