T-Mac to the Spurs?
T-Mac To The Spurs? SpursReport Wednesday, May 19, 2004 That didn't take long. The Spurs have just begun their off-season and already, the roster move speculation has already begun. One televised rumor involves San Antonio and Orlando. While appearing on Fox Sports' Best Damn Sports Show, New York Post columnist Peter Vescey said the Orlando Magic- fearing Tracy McGrady's departure at the end of his contract- may soon be trying to find a partner for a sign-and-trade deal. Named to the All-NBA First Team, Tracy McGrady led the league in scoring and minutes played and was voted a starter for the Eastern Conference at the 2003 NBA All-Star Game. McGrady has reportedly listed San Antonio as one of four franchises where he would like to be traded. "McGrady has decided not to stay with Orlando after this year," said Vescey. "I know that for a fact. "So he's been basically gathering a few teams together in his mind- where he'd like to play. He's picked out three teams, really four, but I can't count the Lakers because I can't see them ever giving the compensation that Orlando would need." According to Vescey, McGrady will reportedly tell Orlando officials that he would re-sign if the Magic could then trade him to Phoenix, Houston or San Antonio. "He'd love to play with Duncan," said Vescey, "They (the Spurs) would have a difficult time compensating Orlando also, but if you have Ginobili you could do a sign and trade with Manu." One recent report had the Suns ready to swap Olympian Shawn Marion, Joe Johnson and a No. 1 pick for McGrady, but another source says that: "The Suns aren't willing to do any deal other than Marion straight up. Johnson is not and will not be included." Any deal with the Rockets would involve point-guard Steve Francis. "Be careful Manu," said Vescey. "You may sign there (with the Spurs) but end somewhere else." Whether McGrady has a long-term future with the Magic is likely to be an issue for several months. Orlando General manager John Weisbrod made it clear before the Magic's season-ending 95-89 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers that he would prefer to get the matter resolved, one way or another, this summer. "My one job is to make sure he doesn't leave and we get nothing at the end of next season," Weisbrod said. "There are an awful lot of variables between now and then that could take this thing one way or another, and I just want to start that process as early as possible." "This is home, and I really enjoy playing here in Orlando," said McGrady, who missed the final nine games of the season with a sore knee. "The fans are great, it's a great organization, just great people here in the city... I don't want to leave. But I'm also a competitor and I want to win. So I don't know what I want to do." Spurs fans are discussing this rumor in the fan forum right now. Link Whoa...this would be great for the Spurs. Duncan would have a better go-to guy and possibly the Best Duo in the NBA.

My little season recap
I mean yeah I know it's supposed to be a game about the fans but it's just not fun anymore. I mean when someone leads voting and they haven't even played for most of the season - something tell you it's more of a popularity contest than skill appreciation. I can already predict the lineups to you without the season starting, that's not supposed to happen. Yeah, it's popularity contest for the starters. The All-Star bench are the only players who have to work hard to be on the All-Star team.

My little season recap
Wade is going to be better than Melo, maybe even close to LeBron. Mark it down. Carmelo couldn't lead his team out of the first round, Dwyane Wade had 7 20 point games in the playoffs, second only to David Robinson's nine as a rookie. Are you serious? Wade's team beat New Orleans and Melo had to play Minnesota. What are you saying? Melo was supposed to be better. The Hornets are no pushover. I know its the Timberwolves but still, the Hornets had size on Wade and he still did it. Theres a thing called in sports and that is an upset. Granted Kevin Garnett is the best player in the game IMHO at the moment, he couldn't lead the Wolves out of the first round till this year. Carmelo could've done it and from what I remember, he was preaty well contained in the playoffs. That doesn't make sense! Melo will be a better player in the future because he was supposed to better? Dude is 19 and put up a fight against a real Championship contender, by himself basically, while Wade has a whole supporting cast (or is he the supporting cast) and his team struggled to beat a lousy New Orleans team. He had an awful game that series too. Wade is going to be a good one but LeBron and Carmelo are going to be superstars. This guy speaks the truth. Theres a thing called in sports and that is an upset. Chances are slim for a 8th seed team to go on to the 2nd round. But it has happen only twice but it might not happen again since NBA started 7 game series for the 1st round.

My little season recap
yeah that's true they really need to change the voting system i'm getting sick of the same players over and over again and then the other players getting snubbed Even if they change the voting system. Other people will get made. But the voting system now is good. Fans get to see who they voted for. The only way Wade or James get to start is McGrady and Iverson going to west. Which might happen.

Calgary is the first to Lord Stanley's Cup
Congrats to Flames and they didn't have home ice and I hope they win it. I just like the low seeded teams.

My little season recap
Why the mad face realflava? Because LBJ and Wade will never start in the All-Star Game as long as McGrady and Iverson are in the East.

Wade is going to be better than Melo, maybe even close to LeBron. Mark it down. Carmelo couldn't lead his team out of the first round, Dwyane Wade had 7 20 point games in the playoffs, second only to David Robinson's nine as a rookie. Nuggets had to play a tougher team in the opening round of the playoffs. So I don't blame Melo. But Wade is going to better when time passes by. He's going to be a fan favorite but not enough to beat T-Mac and The Answer for the ASG. :mad :

best player from every NBA draft
I dunno, Amare averaged 13 and 9 going up against KG and Duncan and people like that everynight in a playoff race, and Yao did basically the same, while Caron shot like 39% for a garbage team. Best player from 2002= Yao (believe me I don;t like him, but its true) no question yao was the best from last year amares good, but yao is better carons not even in the conversation caron's not in the conversation? yeah f***in right i would bust out with the stats and everything now but i'm wayyy too tired i gotcha later Caron Butler did scored more points than Yao Ming and Amare Stoudemire but Butler didn't have a big impact on his team for his rookie season.
