Admin
4 scoreless innings so far this year. Coming out tonight and coming up HUGE. Let the man pitch on a more regular basis Jack. Give him the ball. Wayne. :notworthy

Hotcorner
Admin I have to say he looked terrific in there. 1st pitch strikes, and kept the ball down. That's all you can ask of a reliever.
Flamarlins3
Very good. I think might have found the guy who can go in the 6th and 7th more often so our relievers dont tire out and fox and benitez arent pitching everything
TSwift25
everyone looked solid tonight, gotta give props to Justin, Mike, and Benitez. Benitez shut down the Phillies big guns as did Justin, and Mike, well, he's just Mike. Go Marlins!!!
FreshFish
Justin has been released. He is the man :notworthy
PBMarlin
Justin did great. Came into the game in a pressure situation and got the job done! Struck out Thome, got Burrell on an easy fly out to center, and Lieberthal's ground out.....the heart of their order. He earned his first win. WTG Justin. :thumbup
DurableTear
I think Wayne deserves a consistent role in that bullpen... This coming from someone who didn't believe in Justin Wayne. :thumbup
bman8316
Wayne deserves almost as much credit for this win as Lowell does. He said no fear out there for the 1st time in over a week, and if he gives up just one run he takes the loss that is pressure but he came through. But the best part is he wasnt just happy with going out there and winning, to strike out Jim Thome in the bottom of the 12th that is incrediable right there. Justin you are the man. :notworthy

Ashley
I admit, i was scared when Justin was pitching. And i didn't think he could do it, but he proved me wrong. I'm sure now his confidence level is way up there now, and yea... he definitley did a great job! :thumbup

Marlins2003
Justin Wayne has a real role, and he did his job tonight. Last season he was an arm for rent and nothing more. He's this year's Rick Helling, the best thing he can do is do what he did tonight. Pitch when called upon (for whatever reason).
geemoney
4 scoreless innings so far this year. Coming out tonight and coming up HUGE. Let the man pitch on a more regular basis Jack. Give him the ball. Wayne. :notworthy Are you going to make a thread every time he pitches? Seriously, as much as I think he's done well this year, realistically, he's only pitched 4 innings. Sure he's done well in that time, but it's gonna take solid work AT LEAST into the double-digits to have me convinced. :whistle
Admin
Are you going to make a thread every time he pitches? Lucky for me, he doesn't pitch much then. :lol

I'd like to see Nunez actually pick up an RBI or something meaningful before we proclaim him the next great thing... but that obviously isnt happening. Admin
I expect the users here to be all over Justin the first time he has a poor or even a mediocre outing.

You have a good point....but he probably would have had one tonight if anyone other than Mike Redmond was on first. Big Red was running on the pitch and still couldn't get beyond 3B. NirvanaNole
Admin, What is this running joke with you and Wayne? I'm new and guessing I missed whatever brought this about. He used to pitch pretty well against my Noles at Stanford. I hope he can keep this up. Him and Oliver will do great wonders for our bullpen when AJ comes back and is 100%. If someone doesn't help out Fox/Benitez, they're arms will fall off by the All Star break. :o
Admin
Running joke? I'm just one of the few who supported the guy since we got him and never stopped believing in him even though the majority here ripped on the idea.
