Rex
I apologize if this has already been mentioned on the board; but on the write up of tonight's game, ESPN.com said that Pavano left for Colorado before the start of the game. So hopefully he'll get some rest.
FishFanPR
are those real pitchers??? look at their ERAs! I know colorado is bad, but jeez! I hope we win this series, we always seem to screw it up in Denver.
Flamarlins3
I'm kind of worried about the Oliver matchup because he has been giving up a ton of deep fly balls and well Coors usually does not do anything to help that. I like the other two matchups. Hopefully Beckett can get back on track. Strange start times this week too. 3:05 wed and 4:05 thurs in San Fran...even though West Coast I would think wouldn't have back to back day games when switching series
zzdunlapj
At least Oliver should be comfortable pitching at Coors...his numbers were pretty decent there (for Coors standards)...will that be enough for a win? who knows.
RockyMountainMarlin
Estes is good, really good. The rest of the staff is marginal at best. Vinny Castilla and Todd Helton are hot, but we are lucky Wilson and Walker are out. It's also JP's return to Coors. I remember a Marlins game here 2 years ago where JP hit a HR. Yup, JP! Hoping for a great game and Fish win. I will try to be there early to get some autographs during batting practise.
Malman
Monday: Pavano (1-0, 3.79) vs. Elarton (0-3, 11.15) Tuesday: Oliver (2-1, 5.89) vs. Estes (3-1, 3.70) Wednesday: Beckett (1-2, 3.91) vs. Jennings (1-2, 10.45) We need to take 2 out of 3 - anything less would be a big disappointment heading to San Fran. :hat
Marlins2003
All I can say is thank god we traded Wilson and Johnson when we did because we'd be in the same shoes Colorado is in - three or four high priced players and the rest marginal types. I agree with Malman, 2-3 going to SF would be terrific.
djm305
Colorado also has one of the more UNDERRATED players ever (Todd Helton). I mean I know this guy's career is hurt because he plays in Colorado, but look at his career stats they are unbeleivable. He is as good a ball player as their is in the league. he hits for AVG and POWER and has good speed, plays great defense. If I had to make an all MLB team he would be up there in my top 3.. Pujols Bonds Helton....
Admin
Who underrates Helton? I've always heard him mentioned as a stud player when people are mentioning players. He's one of the premier first basemen in baseball.

He is still under-rated in my opinion but a lto of that is because most people think his numbers are exagerrated by Coors Field

Hotcorner
CJ's actually had a nice start to the season too. .318, 6 HR, 14 RBI Scott Elarton's been terrible, the Marlins need to pummel him tonight.

PBMarlin
Looks like we have two good match-up with Pavano and Beckett. Oliver has an edge from his experience in Coors. So if the guys can get the bats going we'll have a good chance to win a few. I hope there not dragging after that God-awful late night flight they had to take. The 3:05 game on Wednesday and 3 out of the 4 in SF are 4:05 starts.
