FOX TO SEE DOCTOR

Reliever Chad Fox is scheduled to have his injured right elbow examined Wednesday by Dr. James Andrews. Fox said the numbness and tingling have not gone away, even though he hasn't picked up a baseball in nearly five weeks.

''I'm just hoping and praying it's something that doesn't require surgery,'' said Fox, who has had his right elbow operated on three times, twice for reconstructive procedures. ``After five weeks, you would think it would calm down. But I can feel it when I take my shirt off, the tingling in my hand and the burning in my elbow.''

Fox said there's a chance Andrews will perform an arthroscopy Thursday. ''He doesn't even know if it's worth going in there again,'' Fox said.

Cross your fingers that he doesn't need more surgery - you hate to hear that he still has numbness in that elbow.....

By Yung Kim is still out there.

And the Sox would pay most of his salary.

i have never been sold on him.

that kid hss some issues. I'm with you on this one. But a change of scenerie may work wonders with him. He may like it here (Choi + low pressure).

If Boston is willing to pay most of his salary, and we don't have to give any of our top 20 prospects. Why not?

Fox has typically been injury prone - so this doesnt bode well for the fish. I dont think there is any reason to panic, yet, though. We have arms in the system that are capable of getting quality innings. But we may have to make a trade... :confused

i can't imagine that Boston is THAT desperate to get rid of the guy. i know they want to move him, but paying his salary and getting nothing back for him is probably not what they're thinking. they're probably looking to turn BH Kim into Freddy Garcia, Carlos Beltran, etc.

B. Kim will still command some good coin. I wouldn't give up too much for him.

Get well soon Cfox

that same mindset was taken when boston acquired him from arizona.

Granted, Arizona gave up a young All-Star third baseman.

:crying Well, this doesn't look too promising for this year.

Any updates on Spooney? 'Cuz he may now be back before Fox...

poor guy cant catch a break....

atleast he was able to come back and win a ring with us.

maybe coaching is in his future....cause i am not looking for him to come back and pitch...

OH MAN... fox could be done forever.

spooney for the season.

borland is gonna be up for a long time and i think we gotta make a trade for a reliver. not know but a little later in the season...by the deadline.
