Shaq-Man
He gave up 7 runs in 12 innings at AAA, but how? Homers or solid hits? 4 homers he blows
SlapHands69
So who gets the axe when Beckett comes off the DL? I'm hoping Oliver. Oliver is pitching well in his new role. How about Manzanillo

Libelula
No, not Oliver. The guy has actually been good out the bullpen, Leave him there until he screws up. I know he hasn't been placed in a pressure situation but at least give him a shot.
CapeFish
Is it 4 or 3 homers allowed? Remember that Isotopes Park, as with most other PCL parks are like Coors...Launching pads.

CapeFish
But does this guy throw strikes? I have a problem with walks, but if you get belted...at least they beat your best.
rferry
This is baffling really...Unless he comes up and is amazing, why isn't Tejera being called up. agreed... this is beyond unbelievable. this is freaking retarded. they must really be set on trading him... 4 lefties? as long as they get outs I couldn't care less. Yeah.... http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/gameLog?gameId=240418115 http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/gameLog?gameId=240502126 http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/gameLog?gameId=240508128 :thumbdown

Tejera is not your conventional lefty either, you know that.
WildMarlinMan2003
Tejera is MUCH better than Manzanillo. The only reason why I can see him staying in AAA is to keep his stats up, which will boost his trade value.

WildMarlinMan2003
Phelps is the guy who got sent down, fyi What??? Why Phelps? Bump is the WORST we have and if a lefty like Phelps got sent down then Tejera should come up. This is weird.

Ramp
Marlins optioned LHP Tommy Phelps to Triple-A Albuquerque. It's pretty surprising that the Marlins have decided to keep Ben Howard, Toby Borland and Mike Neu over Phelps, who was pretty effective as a reliever before struggling in two of his four starts. He'll be back. unbelievable
farmer_fran
Before Phelps joined the rotation he was our best reliever other than Benitez.
Admin
Makes no sense whatsoever. Have to give Phelps more than 1 chance back out of the pen.
