If Bill Gates had approached you in 1975...

... and asked you to invest $5,000 in a company he was going to start, called "Microsoft", which would focus on computer software, would you have invested, not knowing how Microsoft would eventually end up? This would be out of the blue, not saying you are previously friends or anything.

Keep in mind Bill Gates back then would look something like this: Link

First off..nice mug shot

I'd try to see his resume or his knowledge about the subject before anything...do further research and then decide

Yeah i'd take the same road as Mari. In addition to that though, it depends in what situation i'm in myself :D

He certainly looked geeky enough to work on the software. All he needs is his pocket protector and a slide rule.

In that day and age....

I only throw in 5 grand if I have a lot of disposable income.

The chances of me investing in this thing called....Microsoft...would of been slim to none....

Bill would have to do a REALLY good job of selling his product to me....if he could then i might of....but i would be against it from the start.

Well, at the time, there was knowledge of computers. LOL. But, if they told me that it would revolutionize the face of the earth, I would have said yes (I am kind of a pushover). If he didn't tell me what I wanted to hear though, then probably not.

Josh_C = my biiiiiatch!! :p :hat

Seriously, I probably would'nt have invested the 5 grand. So, I would be a homeless man right about now 'cause of it.... :plain

If Mr. Gates approached Bob the response would be no way. Bob still doesn't trust this computer idea.

Computers will never overtake the world. Computers are these large machinces that are bulky and too expensive for the everyday person to own. The glorious people of Iraq will never accept these computers as they are very impractical. The glorious Iraqis are the greatest and most civil people on this planet with the most sound leadership anywhere in the world.

Look how stupid I sounded...

Thank god those days are over.

ooh those days are still alive and kicking for you buddy How did I know someone would say that?

I'm just shocked you beat Rune to it. :lol

read the sig pal

it holds true to its words

I saw it before I responded to your post.

I chose not to acknowledge it.

To say you would enter into this would be a false statement. Nobody would've done it without knowledge of what was to come. Please don't clog the world with lies and just be truthful. If William Gates approached me, I'd decline.
