I like the idea behind the first alternate, but black jerseys at home? are they trying to kill these guys? I like the teal unis they wear during spring training. October 25, 200221 yr comment_353 The beauty of the vest/sleeveless jersey (aside from it being a constant reminder of the 1997 WS) is that (believe it or not) it's cooler than any sleeved jersey. Remember that all sleeved jerseys are mostly made of polyester, and that doesn't breathe at all. Even in black, a cotton t-shirt under a vest is way cooler temperature-wise. No team will ever adopt a 100% cotton sleeved jersey, because (even though they are comfortable) they don't hold over time up to wear and washing.
