August 19, 200421 yr Since returning from AAA Albuquerque he's been great out of the 'pen. 19.1 IP, 3 ER, 6 BB, 15 K, 1.034 WHIP Much improved. Hope he gets a chance at a starting spot this year or next year.
August 19, 200421 yr Damn good job, he has been terrific. Guess that send down was the wake up call he truly needed
August 19, 200421 yr Nate has looked substantially improved since he returned. He has the long relief spot sewn up right now. :thumbup
August 19, 200421 yr great job by Nate, he stopped the bleeding and kept us in. Our Bullpen is looking good with Benitez, Mota, Seanez, Koch, and bump the only guys i do not trust are Perisho and Manzy (sometimes) he has not pitched in a while
August 19, 200421 yr I've really criticized him in the past after he blew countless games, but he was spot on tonight and did a good job of keeping us in the game.
August 19, 200421 yr great work by him tonight, but i still dont trust him to hold a lead... maybe he's only good when we're down and there is less pressure... i like the seanez-mota-benitez combo more than nate being the 7th inning man.. and did anyone notice we saw the mota - benitez combo tonight? thought it was cool the way that happened.
August 19, 200421 yr I wimped out and slept but it's terrific to see the Bump-er had 3 shutout innings. He's an MLBer, methinks.
August 19, 200421 yr Because of mota benitez and seanez we no longer need bump for set up and late inning pressure situations, he can now be a long relief/middle relief guy. Manzy can also be effetive in middle relief where all the pressure isnt on him. Perisho to me is the only true weakness in the pen, but as the only lefty he can still be utilized effectively for lefty-lefty matchups
August 19, 200421 yr I turned off the TV with the score 1-0 in the third, went downstairs a minute later and it was 3-0, and woke up this morning and found out the Marlins won. It certainly looks like they couldn't have done it without that performance from Nate. Maybe now some of you will lighten up on him. :thumbup :arms :notworthy

August 19, 200421 yr He has the long relief spot sewn up right now. :thumbup 518299 By default, he has :confused
August 19, 200421 yr His curve was nasty last night 518579 It really was and he was throwing it a ton too, never seen him use the curve that much
