rferry
link Kensing likely for Wednesday: It's still subject to change, but McKeon said there is a good chance rookie Logan Kensing will make his third big league start on Wednesday. Kensing filled in for Burnett last Friday against the Braves. The rookie pitched three scoreless innings before the Braves scored four times in the fourth. The 22-year-old Kensing was a second-round draft pick in 2003 out of Texas A&M. In need of pitching depth due to three doubleheaders in September, the Marlins called up Kensing from Class-A Jupiter. Guest Fritz
I'll eat up some innings for the Fish and only ask for like $2,000. I'd probably do as well as Kensing.

Guest Juanky
I don't know why you all hate Kensing. He pitched well last Friday, showed some good stuff, and only lost because he got rattled by a bad call, a couple hits in a row, and some runs. That happens to rookies that have just come up from Single A, they get rattled easily. I wouldn't be shocked if he goes 5 innings at least on Wednesday. Accord
If he was going to be facing ANY other team I would hate this move, but considering it's the Sillies he'll probably no-hit them.
Ice Man
Kensing is a good pitcher. Pavano gave up 5 runs today, and no one is saying s*** about that. Kensing has good velocity and good control when he's on. He has the potential to be the next Beckett or Burnett...
ArwenWatson
I hope that Kensing does a good job if he does get to start....Good luck to you Kensing!

Pavano gave up 5 runs today, and no one is saying s*** about that. 566402[/snapback] That might have something to do with the fact that he's been practically automatic all season & he's allowed a bad day once in a while. The start by Weathers today makes me wonder how the 2 Kensing starts might have gone if Weathers had been in there... Oh well. Who knew he'd come out & go 5 innings with 1 run?? Maybe he's worn out, maybe the Cy Young talk got to him...maybe he's just having those allotted bad days he didn't have during most of the season. Hopefully Kensing will keep improving... Iowa
lol i dont know how anyone can say kensing is a good pitcher. he could be in the future and if we had anyone decent enough to start, there is no way he would have even smelled the big leagues this year. with that being said, i hope he gives us a chance to win in his next start. He has pinpoint control when he's paying attention. He shut down the Braves until he was rattled by the ump's horrible pickoff call and the hits. He just came up from A Ball, made his first start in Wrigley, then came home to face a team that has won the division what, 12 straight times pitching for a team hanging for dear life in a Wild Card race that's more uphill than Mt. Everest? No Pressure. Don't knock the kid. He will be a stud, don't be surprised to see him with the big club all of next year, if not starting then as a reliever.
