Who is the Marlins' heart and soul?

Featured Replies

i would say niner cuz he's been here since the team was out and he's called "Mr.Marlin"

Pierre embodies what our team values should be more than any other. I'd say that he is without question the most professional person in baseball; if you don't like him, there really is something wrong with you :p .

Beckett is our most recognizable. Cabrera's our best player. 'Mando was our MVP, and without Burnett, we're an average team.

I vote for Pierre.

I agree.

JP. Is it me or does JP with a mustache looks like a skinny Carl Winslow from Family Matters?

No votes for Redmond?

Castillo and he have been here forever, taken pay cuts and limited roles when asked and are said to be clubhouse leaders.

Castillo is a close second, I'd have to give the nod to JP, no one works harder in the league than this guy

Here's one for Mike :thumbup

He's done whatever he's been asked and more - a good baseball story too (he was contemplating retiring in 1998, and accepted an assignment to AA, and he worked his way up from there).

JP, he leaves his ego at home.

I'd have no problem with the guy if he actually produced...

Juanpy is #1

But others like Dukie, AJ, Trelle, Big Red, and Luiy play roles in inspiring the team.

Obviously it's JP.

Who voted for Cabrera??? How can someone that doesn't play with heart on defense be the heart and soul of this team?

JP is the Heart and Soul of this team, When he gets on base is when this team is at its best...it all starts with JP...JP's work ethic is unmatched by anyone, not only on the Marlins but in all of MLB...Cabs is our best hitter...Beckett is our best pitcher (some of you dont think so but he is)...AGON is our best defender...but JP is our MVP and our heart and soul without JP nothing happens !

Pierre is awsome! when he does great, the Marlins do too.Hes a hardworker and determined and gives his all. First to arrive, last to leave. So i say hes the heart of the Marlins. But Cabrera is such a kid and is good for laughs and kidding around.

Obviously it's JP.
