Not to mention Frusciante and Flea are two of the best guitarists of their time. I've been a huge fan even before high school.. Who you guys got? 616233 I'm a big RHCP fan and love Frusciante/Flea, but I don't know if I'd go that far. I guess it depends on the number of guitarists and bass guitarists you are considering in their time. Les Claypool and Cliff Burton are the two best bassist of the past two years. Duff also can hang with anyone. GNR's music wouldn't have been half as good as it was without Duff knowing how to compliment Slash and Izzy like he did. For the person that hated RHCP's last album, I loved it. I thought it was one of their best of all time. Of course, I enjoy the later stage of RHCP more than their first half. Nirvana is obviously mine. As for others: Pearl Jam, Metallica, NIN, Smashing Pumpkins, Zeppelin, Skynyrds, GNR, The Beatles, Radiohead, Aerosmith, STP, Hendrix....I guess I'll stop there. I could go on for hours.
November 17, 200421 yr Guess :plain and if you can't, shame on you. 616267 Well, you have one band's name in your screen name and another in your sig. :shifty
November 17, 200421 yr 616280 The White album has been my album of the week basically. I usually have one CD I listen to 24/7 every week and that's been it. It's really a remarkably artistic album and I'm really, really liking it.

You saying something about guitarists got me curious and I went around to Web sites like Rolling Stones mag, etc, to see if they 'ranked' the top Guitarists of All-Time.. and they did the Top 100 Guitarists and Frusciante was 18.. with some very impressive company ahead of him. And then I found some Bass Guitarists ranks at digitaldreamdoor.com and they had Flea at 9th of the 100 best.. So Flea and JF are pretty high on the totem poll. Flea is just amazing.. When I'm listening to the RHCP with people who aren't to familiar with them, i tell them to listen to Flea on bass because he is just so amazing... and the people usually don't realize it until they listen for it. He makes a lot of the songs, imo.

He won't be that high on a guitar magazine's ranking, but Frusciante is a bad ass, that's for sure. I wish I was as good as he is. I'm surprised Flea was only #9. I figured he'd be higher than that.
November 18, 200421 yr Les Claypool and Cliff Burton are the two best bassist of the past two years. Didn't Cliff Burton die a long time ago?

November 18, 200421 yr Well, it would probably be Dire Straits... It's so close to call, I also like... The Police Pink Floyd OutKast (band?) and yes, Offspring... I just don't know what to pick, but Dire Straits will stay up top there.
