I said fine, then let's go. What's St. Louis saying? They're coming out and (Cardinals manager Tony) La Russa called me and told me that they probably weren't going to be able to afford me. That was my first choice, and then I told (Mets GM Omar Minaya) Omar that I was going to be with them if I couldn't work out anything with the Red Sox. But Pedro posted perhaps the most impressive pitching years in MLB history...Schilling doesn't even have 200 wins and he's nearing 40... Secondly, Sox fans are known to turn on their players. They did so with everyone on their team. Pedro has had beef with the Sox in the past, should this come as any surprise? The Sox trying to start rumors about his health was low. I wouldn't be surprised if Pedro's allegations are true that Epstein is an arrogant prick, he's done absolutely nothing any guy with a half a brain and easily the second highest payroll in the league can't do. Roger Clemens, Nomar Garciaparra, Manny Ramirez, Pedro Martinez, Ted Williams All were treated like scum at one point by Sox fans.

He was able to trade for Schilling because the Sox are Evil Empire II. When he can do what Beane has done with the payroll Beane has then maybe he is deserving of being called 'a boy genius' now he is about as over-rated as they come. Pedro had nothing but praise for Sox fans, shame they turn on him to defend the Front Office when they don't know **** about them.
