December 18, 200421 yr Trade talks are picking up, something "could" happen by the end of the weekend. :shifty
December 18, 200421 yr enough with the vague, generic hints of things to come. why not just name names if you really know about something?
December 18, 200421 yr Interesting Ed....hopefully Admin B. can get some movement that will keep us winning.
December 18, 200421 yr Typical Teal Shadow post: A player will be moved from one team to another. Could happen this weekend or maybe within the next six months.

December 18, 200421 yr Appreciate Ed for what he does. The Marlins FO actually forbade him if I remember correctly, to post on this site for a while.
December 18, 200421 yr If you don't like Ed's posts, then don't read them. 637743[/snapback] Maybe he should be more specific with his posts. ANYONE can say a trade to happen. I bet he likes driving us nuts. He should atleast give us hints or a coded message.

Its not that hard to put together. Go look back at his old posts. Marlins are looking at a different Tex OF'er. Inferring different meaning not Dellucci. I doubt Tex signed Hidalgo to trade him.

December 18, 200421 yr I think it could be possible for the Marlins to deal AJ for a stud hitter and then sign Odalis Perez. I think we should keep AJ but clearly he is in play. Texas has an abundance of hitting as well as cinci. You can't tell me the reds wouldn't deal dunn in a package to get AJ?
December 18, 200421 yr Okay, try this on for size....just throwing names out there for your amusement. AJ, Encarnacion, Stokes and Olson for Bonderman, Pena, Walker and White. Marlins and Tigers Bonderman is a solid young starter. Pena is a LH power hitter that frees up Jason Stokes. Walker is the LH we need in the pen. Rondell is a productive LH bat for RF. The deals saves us $4MM so adding an Odalis Perez becomes even more reasonable. Conine gets playing time platooning with Pena and White. The Tigers might be interested because in the next few seasons AJ and Olson could anchor their staff and Stokes is stil considered a highly touted prospect. Granted, can they sell their fans on making a trade for the future? That I doubt. Okay, rip me a new one now guys
December 18, 200421 yr Still, anyone can make a vague comment like that one. I'm going to have to start doing the same thing if I keep seeing these kinds of posts.

December 18, 200421 yr I know trading the future is tough, but Pena, Bonderman and Walker are young and are MLB players. The White/Encarnacion flip flop is a way to get a lefty bat in RF and save over $1.5M. Pierre Castillo Lo Duca Cabrera Pena Lowell Rondell Gonzalez Rotation: Beckett, Leiter, Perez, Bonderman, Willis Pen: Mota, Alfonseca, Jones, Spooneybarger, Walker, Bentz/Perisho/Castillo/Bump, etc. Bench: Treanor, Easley, Conine, Harris, Wilson Delgado I'm not saying this is a team to crack up over, but this sort of deal fills the holes and doesn't look too bad.
