December 21, 200421 yr Astros non-tendered RHP Wade Miller. Lance Berkman, Roy Oswalt, Mike Lamb, Brandon Duckworth, Peter Munro and Tim Redding were all tendered. Miller will get more from another team than he would have in arbitration from the Astros. If his shoulder was sound, he shouldn't have had any trouble getting Russ Ortiz money. As is, expect offers from the usual suspects. The Yankees and Red Sox will try to bring him in to as a sixth starter, and the Mariners and Dodgers could promise him rotation spots.
December 21, 200421 yr there may be a typo in that quote. there are multiple sources that say Riedling was non-tendered. See GoogleNews.

December 21, 200421 yr wade miller is my kind of pitcher. this would be a great move if we can pull it off.
December 21, 200421 yr I'd love to get a hold of him. How can the Yankees seriously be interested? They would already have 6 starters under contract if the Randy Johnson deal goes through.
December 21, 200421 yr i hope Beinfest gives us a christmas gift and signs Wade Miller, this guy is a very good pitcher and not a lot of people have been talking about him.
December 21, 200421 yr No one knew he would be available. Anyone have a list of non-tendered free agents?
December 21, 200421 yr Astros non-tendered RHP Wade Miller. If his shoulder was sound Why do you think the Astros non-tendered him? Anyone who signs Miller would have to sign him to a Jon Lieber-type deal where they don't expect him to pitch until '06.
