January 8, 200521 yr Marino and Young. They BOTH played until their bodies couldn't take anymore. That gets some respect.
January 8, 200521 yr That's a tough one... I gotta go Sanders/Elway. Both are arguably the best ever at their positions.
January 8, 200521 yr Well lets see. Marino>Elway even though Elway won two superbowls on a better team. Marino is the best quarterback. Elway had more weapons in his receivers than Marino did and Elway had a running back who was a threat all the time. Marino didn't. As far as Sanders and Young, both were equally important in their positions on their respective teams. Marino and Young only by a bit..
January 8, 200521 yr You make a very biased argument. Without Elway, the Broncos never win the two rings, even though they had weapons. Marino had a helluva recieving core early in his career. You say Young and Sanders are equal, but you could say the very same things about Young as you did Elway...the best WR of all tiem and a much better team than Sanders could have even sniffed at.
January 8, 200521 yr elway didnt win jack till he got a running game. if marino had a running game he would of won a ring also like elway. end. story. i loved seeing both on the field, that is simply fact.
January 8, 200521 yr All of those guys were such great players. Sanders and Elway get the nod because of the fact that Barry Sanders put the Lions on his back and carried them BY HIMSELF for all those years.
January 8, 200521 yr 'would of' 650552 its not marino's fault that the miami front office is stupid, was stupid, and will probably continue being stupid.
January 8, 200521 yr tight matchup, but ill take elway/sanders because elway was so clutch and sanders was prob the most exciting rb (if not player) of all time
January 9, 200521 yr Marino was the best QB of all time, and Steve Young was awesome, so I'll go with them. :cool
January 9, 200521 yr Sanders and Elway, although all the Marino homers on this board will make the vote close.
January 9, 200521 yr elway didnt win jack till he got a running game. if marino had a running game he would of won a ring also like elway. end. story. i loved seeing both on the field, that is simply fact. 650527 exactamundo Marino-Young
January 10, 200521 yr Tough tough tough. Sanders and Elway both walked away before it was "too late." Marino and Young hung around a little too long (especially Marino, but he was looking for that ring). I go Sanders and Elway.
