January 26, 200521 yr I can't wait for the season to start. Man, The Marlins are gonna one fun team to watch.
January 26, 200521 yr am i the only one who wants to move castillo 667603 yes, Castillo is staying.
January 26, 200521 yr Our lineup is one of the best in the league 1. JP- Speed Kills 2. LOUIs- speed kills 3.LOduca-average in the 3 hole owns 4 DELGADO-(Perfect power man) 5. CABS -Performs at his best in the 5 slot) 6. LOwell-Vetern with Clutch power and average)7 7. Conine- Vetern can hold his own 8. Gonzo- look for a big year from him beacuse alot of hitting pressure is off of him Im debating, what are your thoghts on putting Cabs at 3 and loduca at 6 bumping up lowell to the 5 mid lineup looks like 3. cabs 4. delgado 5. lowel 6. Lo duca You have the choice of Pitching to the ever so dangerous cabs or Delgado 667586 Lo Duca is a terrible #3 hitter, a #3 hitter has to have some power. He will definitely be hitting 6th or maybe 2nd if Jack decides to shake things up.
January 26, 200521 yr Projected Lineup (according to ESPN): CF Juan Pierre 2B Luis Castillo LF Miguel Cabrera 1B Carlos Delgado 3B Mike Lowell C Paul Lo Duca RF Juan Encarnacion SS Alex Gonzalez
January 26, 200521 yr Projected Lineup (according to ESPN): CF Juan Pierre 2B Luis Castillo LF Miguel Cabrera 1B Carlos Delgado 3B Mike Lowell C Paul Lo Duca RF Juan Encarnacion SS Alex Gonzalez 667625 Thats not takin into account the fact we'll probably lose enc, although its possible that we may not be confident about niner's health
January 26, 200521 yr Trading Castillo thats worst than me wanting to trade Conine. Encarnacion has better defense and a cannon he will also keep Cabs out of right field. To me Enc>Conine Plus Conine has the injured shoulder playing handball LOL
January 26, 200521 yr Trading Castillo thats worst than me wanting to trade Conine. Encarnacion has better defense and a cannon he will also keep Cabs out of right field. To me Enc>Conine Plus Conine has the injured shoulder playing handball LOL 667914 I don't think he meant move Castillo as getting rid of him, but rather as moving him in the lineup from 2 to 6
January 26, 200521 yr I think it should be: 1. Pierre 2. Duca 3. Cabs 4. Delgado 5. Lowell 6. Castillo 7. Conine 8. Gonzalez trade ENC. 667591 Do you think Pierre will still be that great of a leadoff man without the ever patient and skilled Castillo behind him? I like the idea of batting LoDuca second to add some pop to the top of the order and keep his tendency to GIDP from hurting the team too much. 1. Castillo 2. LoDuca 6/7. Pierre seems best.
January 26, 200521 yr Trading Castillo thats worst than me wanting to trade Conine. Encarnacion has better defense and a cannon he will also keep Cabs out of right field. To me Enc>Conine Plus Conine has the injured shoulder playing handball LOL 667914 Conine hits for equal power with a higher average and on-base percentage, and still runs very well and fields his position incredibly well. And let's not kid ourselves, Cabrera did not turn into a gold glove-calibar fielder when he moved to leftfield. He still needs time to adjust to the outfield, and it'd be a shame to waste that arm in left. Allowing for Hermida to start out in leftfield and be apprenticed by Conine or another player.
January 26, 200521 yr This team right now, that even ESPN is giving us praise. Last night on ESPNews Jason Starks said now that the Marlins have a lefty they arent just the favorite in the NL East but they are the BEST TEAM in the entire National League, I never thought that those words would be mentioned on ESPN, what is this world coming to.
January 26, 200521 yr 1. Pierre 2. Castillo 3. Cabrera 4. Delgado 5. Lowell 6. Lo Duca 7. Encarnacion/Conine 8. Gonzo I think we should stick with the speed kills mentality at the top of the order, bring in the big power hitters in the middle, and then end with some decent pop at the end. 1-5 I think we have one of the top 5-6 lineups in all of baseball. We are a 5 tool team. 667601 i agree with you, loduca doesnt strike out much;however he dp too much because he doesnt run verry well put loduca in the 6 spot and castillo at 2,he can hit steal and BUNT we might need that to move JP to 2nr or 3rd
January 26, 200521 yr I love conine, but I think a healthy encarnacion will be better for the team in right than Conine. If by some miracle we can keep both of them, I would love to have the versatile Conine on the bench along with damion easely. talk about depth.
January 26, 200521 yr i meant move castillo to lower in the lineup...yeah right id never want to trade him
January 27, 200521 yr couldnt agree more. this puts us as one of the best team in the league. 05 here we come.
